A QUICK BIRTHDAY CARD USING WILDCARD CARTRIDGE

Hi
Last one from me tonight! I had to do a birthday card quickly and I love my Wildcard cartridge! Did I tell you that already!! lol!
This is my fav cut at the moment its the flowercard . I used Pink Petticoat download Mini Bigdots for the cardbase @5". The Happy birthday (also from wildcard )cut in black card was cut 3 times and layered up for dimension and the ribbon is black satin and I added some crystals to the ribbon and the happy birthday for a bit of sparkle!
I must apologise for my photography in the last few posts it's not good photographing in the evening, not with my camera anyway!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

GIFT CHEQUE HOLDERS

Hi
I made these cute cheque holders using a cut file by the talented Diane at http://capadiadesigns.blogspot.com Pop over to her blog as there are some wonderful tutorials and cut files. Thanks Diane. For the names on the 2 black and silver ones I used the cut files available a couple of posts below, for the other 2 I used Cutting Up cartridge. Card used DCWV Rockstar for the guitar envelopes and Christmass stack for the others. The names were cut with silver mirricard and blue mirrisilk card, metal seasons greetings and embellies added and I used Basic grey mini magnet snaps for opening and closing. These holders are the perfect size for a cheque.

A COUPLE OF NAME GIFT BAGS

Hi all
I picked up a couple of cheap gift bags for a couple of pressies for 2 of my friends and using their names from the cut files using Wildcard below enlarged the names to fit on the bags. I used silver mirricard to cut the names with sbowflake confetti with a gem to dot the i. They were so pleased with them
Thanks for looking!

Names names and more names!!!!

Good evening everyone
Well no cards this time but I have been welding some names in Design studio which I will be cutting out to hang or adhere on gift bags for Christmas pressies. They are all done with Wildcard. Can you believe this cart has a full alphabet as well as all the fab cards and phrases on it. Did I say I love this cart!!
Anyway they are obviously names of my friends and family but if any one can use any of the names please feel free to download the files. The screenshots show all names on one page you will see if you use these files that I have put one name on each page and they are all resizable which is a great feature of the new updates to DS and can be moved around the mat as one object too. Does that make sense??!! I know it will to all you DS users!
Thats all for this evening hope you're all nearly ready for Christmas

COMPUTER DESIGNED CARD FOR A MALE SAXOPHONIST

called Peter!

Good evening everyone
Just a quick card today I did on my computer obviously a male card with no bling or ribbon! My friend asked me to do a card for her brother in law who is a saxphonist in a band and his name is Peter! In real life this card is nice and glossy as I printed it on glossy photocard. This was quick and easy. Thanks for looking!

SNOWFLAKE REINDEER

Good afternoon everyone
Hope you're having a great Sunday! I finally finished this card today mainly because I couldn't find the snowflake buttons I had bought for it. I finally found them this morning in the bin!!!! I had thrown some paper away and this little bag of buttons somehow joined the paper! Oh dear I spent all last night trying to retrace my steps! The joys of getting older I suppose lol! At least I found them!
Anyway back to the card details A4 sheet of purple mirri silk scored in half for base card. Gold mirri card for the cut reindeer which was cut from the Christmas Solutions cart @ 11 3/4" and his body cut off! I'm not a big user of peeloffs but used a lot of gold ones on this card. Irridescent snowflake buttons, irridescent sequins and purple gems for the reindeer collar oh and eye is a gem coloured with black permanent marker.
Thanks for looking and have lovely day

BBTB CONTEST NON TRADITIONAL COLOURS CHRISTMAS WREATH CARD

Good afternoon everyone
This is a card I made for BBTB's latest contest. This time Regina asked for a Christmas card to be made with non-traditional Christmas colours and we could use any cut from any cart.
My card is a pink and silver wreath card. The card is cut from JOTS tag card shape which I put into design studio and added another circle from plantin inside so it became an aperture card. This was cut from pink mirri silk card. I used a spellbinders die for the silver holly which is cut from silver mirri card and the berries are clear skittles which I coloured pink with a permanent marker pen. I wound tiny silver bead trim around the wreath and added a silver Merry Christmas peel off inside the card. I used Pink satin and silver ribbon for the bow.
The card was really hard to photograph being metallic and the ribbon looks like it doesn't match but in real life it is a perfect match!!
Thanks all for looking and have a great day!
Please make sure you visit Regina's Bitten By The Bug blog she has a wonderful design team who come up with the most spectacular cards! http://regina-bittenbythebug.blogspot.com/

NEW HOME CARD FOR POPPICRAFTS CHALLENGE

Good Afternoon
I needed to make a new home card for a friend of mine who has just moved house with her 2 daughters so it could be girly colours! I also received my Cricut Wildcard Cartridge last week and decided to have a play just using the cuts and accessories in basic form to have a go with this cart which I love.
Poppicrafts are having a challenge for cards that feature pink, white green and black so I thought I could enter this card even though it's a simple one! If you haven't yet visited Poppicrafts I suggest you do. Not only is the blog fab but Poppicrafts has a wonderful online shop and ebay store which sells fabulous ribbon and flowers as well as many other gorgeous goodies for your card making and the service is marvellous! http://poppicrafts.blogspot.com/
My card is the House cut at 7 1/2" on white card. The accessories ie the window, roof , door and little trees were cut from printed papers from various of my Pink Petticoat papers CDs and pop dotted on to the card. The roof cut already has the little tile marks cut and i just curlede them up. Black ribbon and ric rac from my stash and 'nets' at window and door from Poppicrafts. I added some gems to the trees and door for doorknob.strip of green card was put through my threading water punch and the 'smoke coming from the chimney is a tree decoration hook! Sentiment is computer generated Ts Curly. Thanks for looking

BAUBLE CARD FOR BBTB CONTEST

Good afternoon everyone

This is my attempt at a bauble card for the BBTB (Bitten By The Bug) contest hosted by Regina.

We had to use the circle cut from George, Plantin School or Accent Essentials cart on our card as an ornament! I used Plantin 2 circles @ 5"welded together to make the card base then another circle cut @ 5" for layering on top. Gold mirricard for the top of the bauble which is a stocking top from Christmas Cheer. I embossed the bauble with swirls cuttlebug embossing folder leaving a blank through the centre. I had the gold wired balls in my stash which I bought last year with the idea of doing a bauble card and just never got around to doing it! I twisted 3 strands together and adhered with glossy accents across the centre (Glossy accents will glue anything and everything I love it!) I broke of individual gold balls from the wires and adhered them on the swirls and also to the white net tied around the top of the bauble. The decorated bauble then adhered to the card at an angle. Greeting is a gold peeloff on white then matted on to gold.

There are some stunning entries so go have a peek http://regina-bittenbythebug.blogspot.com/

I've never entered a contest or a challenge before so be gentle with me!

WHO REMEMBERS VINYL RECORDS!!

Sorry about the flash!

Good evening everyone
It's our friend Geoff's birthday next week. Geoff plays guitar and is also a DJ so I made him this card! Luckily for me I received my DCWV stacks from QVC this morning!
I used the guitar 8x8 full page folded in half. I found this wonderful site http://www.says-it.com/ where you can put your own greeting on a vinyl record!!(not a real one of course!Llol!) There are all sorts of things to customise and it's free! I printed the record on photo glossy card and offset it with 3d foam pads at the corner of the page then cut off the excess. A bit of bling an waalaa finished card! I hope he likes it! Thanks for looking and please excuse the flash these dark evenings are a nightmare for taking photos!!

MY NEIGHBOUR IS 70 TOMORROW

Good Evening

I am blessed to have lovely neighbours John and his wife Mal. John is 70 tomorrow so I made a simple card for him. I spied this photo of him a few weeks ago when I was over at his house and 'borrowed it and scanned it!' After a bit of photo repair on my computer getting all the scratches off it looked as good as new. This is a picture of John when he was a young Naval Officer. I thought he looked a bit like Gene Kelly! I found this gorgeous metal ships wheel in my stash added a jump ring and hung it from the photo which I backed on to silver mirri card. Font is dragonwick. Hope he likes it! Happy Birthday John!

I HAVE BEEN MAKING CARDS HONEST!

Good Evening
As the title says I have been making cards just not new creations! The last couple of days I have been doing a few duplicates, some have been requested and the others because I'm not feeling very creative at the moment! Lol! I think we all have these creative slumps now and again arghh I hope it goes away soon!
Anyway this is one of my duplicates just used different colour flowers but I'm going to show it anyway as I just love these Funky Fairy papers!

BLOOM CARD

Good evening
I've been out most of the day but was determined to make a card this evening with my new cartridge that my dear friend Lillie RAK'd me.
I cut a black pearlescent card at 5"x 5, s printed some pink/black dottie paper from Pink Petticoat CD Lola's Boudoir (I adjusted the colour in my graphics programme for a stronger pink) Using Walk In My Garden Cartridge I cut the cone flower at 1 1/2"in pink/black dot and the head of the flower in plain pink and plain black for layer, adhered together and glossy accents on the head of the flower. I also cut from the same cart 3 green metallic card leaf 3 leaves. I used stringed silver sequins for the stem which I used glossy accents as a glue ( this is wonderful glue for really sticking anything down and holds really fast!) I then pop dotted the flower and added some frilly ribbon cut down (from poppicrafts) around the centre of the flower and positioned and adhered leaves along the stem. The word bloom is cut from silver mirri card and is a sizzlit die.
Thanks so much Lillie I love my new cart! Thanks for looking!

JAYDEN'S 1ST BIRTHDAY CARD

Good Afternoon all

I was asked to make a 1st birthday card for a little boy Jayden from his great grandmother.
I used a DL white card and adhered two patterned strips of paper across the centre of the card. Jayden is cut from silver mirror card with cricut and Plantin School/ Roly Poly at 1 1/4" then embossed with cuttlebug folder tiny bubbles. Letters are the adhered across the centre at a jaunty angle and every other letter is pop dotted. the buttons are from my stash. Blue text is computer generated font is LDJ Miss Me.
Thanks for looking and for all you crafters out there did you spot the mistake??!! Argh I debossed the letters instead of embossing and only noticed after I embossed!! Ha ha but they still seem to look ok!

ALEX AN 18TH MINI ALBUM

click on pictures for a better view! The first 5 photos at the top of this post should be at the bottom after these photos to tell the story!

Good Evening

Or should that be good morning as it's 1.15am here!!

I was asked to do a mini album for an 18th. My mum's best friend known to me as Auntie Sheila (as she and my mum have been best friends since they were 11 years old!!) asked if I would do a mini album for her granddaughter Alex who is turning 18 today! I have only done a couple of these before I did one each for my Mum and Dad when they turned 70 two years ago so I said yes!

Alex is a cyclist and this weekend is in Poland defending her European Junior Points Champion title that she won last year! We heard yesterday that she had retained her title! WAY TO GO ALEX watch out for her in the future! and a Happy 18th Birthday for today!

For the album I used a 6x6 ready made K&Co Neapolitan album, there were a lot of pictures to fit in so I kept it quite simple using some epoxy stickers , Queen & co felt borders in lilac cut up as accents on the pages. I also had this cute little silver bicycle charm that I joined to one of the photos with a jump ring. For the matting of the photos I used Anna Griffin papers and also Anna Griffin paper for the journalling tags that were computer generated with a CK font.

I made a box using a .cut file from Okieladybug it was her 6" cheesecake box and I just deleted the circle cut out! So Thank you Okie this was a perfect size for the album. Cream Anna Griffin cardstock for the base and a 12x12 paper from K&CO Neapolitan stack for the lid which match the album perfectly. Some organza ribbon from my stash!

My Auntie was very pleased with the Album and will give it to Alex when she returns from her

cycling competition.

Whoops! the photos have come up very randomly and not being very computer savvy with regards to blogging I can't move them around so sorry for the order they are in!!

Thanks for looking!
