CARDS FOR CLAIRE HOUSE

Good afternoon
I have been a bad blogger but my mojo has completeley disappeared! Hope it turns up soon lol!
I have been making some cards though for Claire House Hospice in Liverpool. Kazz from the Cricut messageboard has organised to donate cards to Claire House so they can sell them from there to raise funds. Thank you Kazz it was a pleasure to do some cards for such a wonderful cause.
I ony managed 25 cards wish I could have done more and they are very plain just computer, flowers brads, ribbon and a bit of cuttlebug. Here are the cards.
Thanks again Kazz for organising this xx

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hi everyone
May I just take this opportunity to wish you all A Very Happy New Year! Have you made any resolutions??!! I don't usually as I break them so quickly lol! This year though I do hope that I can make more cards! I see all the wonderful blogs out there who post so many beautiful cards so often so thats my sort of resolution to make more cards and post more on my blog! Let's see if I can keep it up!
Well I do have a card to post but its a very simple card for a male. Yep all my cards for men are simple as I find them so difficult you can't add all the bling sparkle and glitter you can for girly cards.
This card is for an artist called Tony who is just about to turn 50! I used a plain white 6"x6" card, Plantin School cartridge for the 50 (in silver mirri card) which I made narrower in Design studio. This was pop dotted on to the card then I found a picture of a palette which I googled took out the flat paint which was on the picture in one of my graphics programmes and added the name Tony (sorry can't remember the font used). For the paint I went to see my dad also a painter and 'borrowed' some of his acrylic paints and blobbed them on the palette, they look quite 3d in real life and added a nice dimension, I did have to leave them to dry for a few hours, then cut out the palette and pop dotted on the front of the 50. Very plain I know but looks quite effective in real life! Photos are not fab as it was photographed in the evening!
So there you go I have kept my resolution up so far lol!

Have a great day!
