BBTB2 FROM MY KITCHEN APRON CHALLENGE AND A BLOGHOP!!

Good morning
Happy Bank Holiday on this gorgeous sunny Monday!
It's time for another challenge over at BBTB2 and this week Penny chose the apron cut from the From My Kitchen
cart.

This is such a pretty apron I decided to make a little cookie holder which is super simple! I ust cut 2 aprons one on flip at 6" using card which has been printed on both sides using one of my new Pink Petticoat downloads which has the most gorgeous vintage flowers and bud papers influenced by Cath Kidston. The back side of the card has been printed with co-ordinating stripey paper from the download and the pockets with pink polkadot. I sandwiched a little cellophane bag in between the apron which I used to hold my cookies. I decorated my apron with some pink trim, some pink gingham ribbon and a little heart to finish. The top of the apron acts like a little handle! Sorry about the quality of the photos as these were taken at 2am this morning!

Please visit us over at BBTB2 and take a look at the fabulous apron creations my DT sisters have created this week and of course we would love to see your take on the challenge too!!

Finally last but not least it's the end of the month so time for another Bloghop! If you are already on the hop you should have reached me from the Wonderful Theresa (aka Treefrog). Just leave me a comment and a contact email if you don't have a blog and I will choose a winner on Saturday 4th September for my little candy below. Next on the hop today is the Fabulous Carole (aka Crayola) so hop on over straight from here!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

IT'S A GIRL. THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good morning
I have some great news to share with you this morning! My son Connor got the GCSE results he needs to go to college!! I am so proud of him, for those of you who don't know Connor has autism so even coping in a mainstream school has been a huge journey for him after 10 years at a school for autism. He found doiug exams very stressful so we decided a college course would be better than staying on at 6th form as coursework based results will hopefully be far less stressful than exams. Well of course in order to get into college he had to pass GCSE exams catch 22 really! But anyway he did and he's so chuffed with himself and I am so proud, well I am proud of every little thing he has overcome and achieved. So onto a new chapter which comes with all the anxieties of getting the right support in place for him at college! He is very excited about going and he will be doing an IT course which is his favourie subject!

Anyway on to my card for today! Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week we have an 'Oh Baby' challenge! Nilda asked us to create a baby project.

My card is for a new baby girl and for my embossing I used my old favourite swiss dots CB embossing folder. For those of you with a keen eye you will notice that the embossed dots on the lettering are smaller than the embossed dots on the rattle! that's because the embossing on the letters is using the CB folder and the rattle is embossed with the sizzix equivalent. My card is 6x6" and covered with paper from Me and My Big Ideas paper from the baby girl stack, This paper is beautiful to feel as it's flocked! All the cuts are from cricut cart New Arrival, The rattle is cut at 5 3/4" and I think the sentiment is cut at 1 3/4" all in pink and white and pop dotted. I've added pearls and ribbon from Hobbycraft to complete. Hope you will pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and check out the adorable projects the team have created this week and join in with us too!

Hope everyone is having a great week and for those of you in the UK hope this rain stops soon!!!

BBTB2 CHALLENGE LIFE'S A BEACH LIZARD. 'RELAX'

Hello everyone
It's Monday and that means it's time for another challenge over at BBTB2! Lori from the DT chose the cut for this week , the lizard from Life's A Beach cart.
I think this little lizard looks like a gecko (not that I know much about lizards!) so as I wanted to make her orange I checked on the internet and found that young leopard Gecko's have a lot of orange in them so I was good to go!
I made a leaf shaped card in DS using Give A Hoot cart, all the papers are Pink Petticoat dowload papers and pop dotted and layered. My gecko is cut at 5" 3 times, twice in white card and once in orange glitter card and I adhered all the layers together for a chipboard look before pop dotting her onto the leaf where she is relaxing hence the Relax sentiment which is cut from Paper Pups cart shadow in white and base in hot pink glitter card. I used DCWV Spring Glitter mat stack for my glittered cuts and have to say it cuts like a dream on my Cricut.I tied some rafia around the stem and some orange gem stones and some hot pink gems to her toes! My hot pink gems are clear gems coloured with permanent marker as I had run out of pink!!
Pop over to BBTB2 and check out the other luscious lizard creations from the DT and show us your creations too we love to see everyone's take on the cuts each week!
Oh before I go some great news! BBTB2 has now reached over 1000 followers so to celebrate and thank you all so much for your wonderful continuing support check back on BBTB2 tomorrow for some great giveaways!
Thanks for visiting me  today and hope you all have a great week!

BBTB2 CHALLENGE PAPER DOLLS DRESS UP DINOSAUR

Good evening
For our readers challenge over at BBTB2 we were to use a dinosaur cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge. I love this cart not for the paper dolls but for the huge variety of other cuts it has!
I have to say my card looks a little childlike but this was intentional as it's for a dinosaur mad 5 year old little boy!
The card is 6x6" and I used a swirly loopy black and white background paper which is a Pink Petticoat download. I like digital papers as you can add to them on the screen before printing so I added the Dino Hugs wording in turquoise and lime randomly on the paper to match the colour of my large Dino. The dinosaur is cut at 8" which I know is large but I only wanted the top portion of him for the card! I cut him 3 times , once in white cardstock , once in turquoise cardstock and the top layer is green dotty paper by Bo Bunny. I cut the teeth from the bottom  white layer then layered the 3 dino's atop each other for a chipboard effect and adhered the white teeth to the top green layer. I also inked around the top 2 layers with black ink. I adhered dino to the card and just cut around the card to cut the rest of him off ( this sounds cruel but I promise you he did not feel a thing!!) The dots on his body were made using the EK succes Swiss Cheese border punch ( great punch if you need different size dots) and  the Hi  added are Making Memories puffy alphabet stickers.
Don't forget to pop overto BBTB2 and see the fabulous dinosaur cards created by the  rest of the DT and we would love it if you joined in the  as we love to see your creations too and remember you can use a dinosaur from any of the Cicut Carts if you don't have Paper Doll Dress Up.
Thanks for looking!

OOOH CHILLY!!

Good evening
It's time for another monthly challenge over at Lily -Bootoo. Anything Goes is the title and that means you can use any Lily-Boo image in your challenge and any occasion!
For those of you that don't know all Lily-Boo digi images are now available from The Cuddly Buddly online shop fror sale and instant download and there are lots of freebies to be had too so come on over and play this month!
I chose this cute little penguin and made an 'Oooh Chilly' Christmas card! This adorable little Penguin is on sale HERE for just 99p! My background paper is from Pink Petticoat christmas CD Fairy Lights and I also printed the penguin image onto a matching solid blue paper which I paper pieced for the sky and recoloured the snow with my white signo gel pen. The image is printed twice and coloured with Pro markers. I cut the hat, scarf, beak and one foot (flipper?) and pop dotted for a bit of dimension. I have a little tip here. When I cut out the pieces to layer I went round the edges with a black promarker and therefore you get no white edges showing! The sentiment is computer generated font Ravie and printed on to the blue solid and matted on black card and again pop dotted.  I added some artificial snow to the snow area and a white pom pom to his bobble hat and finally the snowflakes are the waste from my Martha Stewart PATP snowflake punches with some crystal gems added to the centres.
Sir Stampalot has a challenge this month  which is all about BLING so I am entering little Chilly the penguin into this challenge too!
Thanks for popping in
