BBTB2 CANDLE CHALLENGE

Hi
This week over at BBTB2  Karen asked us to use the candle cut from Wrap It Up Cricut cartridge. I have this cart but have not used it and there are so many great cuts on it!

This was a quick card as my back is still playing me up hence the lack of blog activity and getting round to comment on everyones lovely creations so please accept my apologies.

I made this quick Christmas card using Tim Holtz Christmas embossing folder on white card matted on to gold self embossed foil card then on to a white card base approx 5x7"(all pop dotted). The candle is cut at 5 1/2" base white, layers gold, accents white.  (pop dotted) To finish off I added some red gems, a litle red bow to the candle and found some red Christmas ribbon in my stash which I added to my card before adding the candle.

We hope you'll join in our challenge over at BBTB2 this week and if you don't have Wrap it Up cartridge you can use any candle from any cartridge!

Thanks so much for visiting and I would like to wish you all  a very Happy Christmas!

BBTB2 TAG CHALLENGE

Good afternoon
Today the lovely Lori chose the cut for this week's challenge over at BBTB2 which is any tag from Winter Frolic cricut cartridge. This cartridge has so many gorgeous tags it was hard to choose!
I decided to go with an oval tag which had a holly cut out in the base cut.
I cut the shadow at 5 1/2" in white and the base is cut using kraft cardstock. I doodled around the holly leaf cut out with a white gel pen then  embossed with The snowman Christmas Sentiments embossing folder, I love all the Christmas greetings in different fonts on this folder and it's a great size folder at 5x7". I added little red buttons threaded with red thread for the holly berries and backed the holly leaves with green felt. The base is then pop dotted for a little dimension. To finish off I added some red gingham ribbon and a gold jingle bell.
These tags come together so quickly and easily and would look lovely on presents wrapped with brown craft paper.
So let's see your tags! Don't forget if you don't have Winter Frolic you can use any tag from any cart!
Pop over to BBTB2 and take a look at the gorgeous tags the rest of the DT have created this week.
Thanks so much for popping by!

BBTB2 JOY CHALLENGE

Hi
This weeks challenge over at BBTB2 has been chosen by Mona who asked us to use Joy fromWinter Woodland Cricut cart.
I went with a clean and simple look this week and as it's a Christmas card shiny mirror card!
My card base is a 6x6"white card and the design is very plain and simple. I used a frame from Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and welded the joy shadow inside the frame using Design Studio, this has been cut in gold mirror card. Base cut Joy has then been cut twice in red mirror card and added atop. Finally I added some green holly leaves which is from a pack of confetti then added some sparkly red gems to finish off! So easy and quick to make which is ideal if you have lots of Christmas cards to make!
Now pop over to BBTB2 and take a look at the gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT and we would love you to join in, if you don't have Winter Woodland there are lots of carts with the word joy on that can be used!
Have a great week everyone!

BBTB2 GHOST CHALLENGE AND END OF MONTH BLOGHOP!

Hello
Gosh I seem to have been gone forever! I've really been suffering with bad sciatica for about a month now so not been making any cards, but I really miss it so as it's BBTB2 Monday challenge I decided not to ler it beat me any more and made a quick card for this week's challenge!
Our lovely and very very talented Shelly chose the cute ghosts from Paper DollDress Up Cricut cartridge for the challenge, but you can use any ghost from any cart if you don't have PDDU.
I cut my ghosts in white cardstock at a few sizes between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2" and inked around the edges for a bit of definition. The background star paper is printed from a Pink Petticoat Halloween CD. I then cut Boo from Holiday Cakes cartridge at 3 1/4"in black polka dot (Pink Petticoat Lolas Boudoir CD} card and orange card and offset them as there is no shadow for this cut. Everything then adhered and pop dotted on to my base card which measures 10x4"
As it's end of month it's time for a bloghop and I'm last on the list this week, you should have reached me from Shelly's blog and if you have missed anyone you can start again at BBTB2 as you don't want to miss the chance of a little blogcandy along the way!
I do have a little blog candy for you but my camera needs charging so I will post a photo of it as soon as I've charged it up!
Just leave a little comment and a contact and I will draw a winner on Saturday 5th November
Thanks so much for visiting and hope you all have a wonderful Halloween!!

BBTB2 CUTTIN' UP TIME 4 FUN CHALLENGE

Good evening
This week over at BBTB2 Heather chose the phrase Time 4 Fun from the Cuttin'Up cart, I admit I struggled with this one!
My card shows the witches flying across a 'clock' moon where it's Time 4 Fun, The Witching Hour! Well that was my thought anyway lol!
I welded 2 circles from Plantin School in Design Studio and the shadow cut of  Time 4 Fun from Cuttin' up and then the shadow of  2 different size witches using Martha Stewart Seasonal Art cart. This was my card base and has been cut in orange cardstock. The base witches, phrase and the clock hands (from Designers Calender)were then cut in black and the phrase again in white and the 4 in a patterned cardstock. The witching Hour is computer generated and I added stickers for the clock numbers and some little gold ball accents to finish.
Pop over  to BBTB2 and see the fun projects the DT have created this week and we would love you to join in with the challenge too!
Have a  great week and thanks for popping in!

Good evening
Today is my mum and dad's 54th Wedding Anniversary!
I made this card for their special day using Kanban paper for the backing paper, Happy Anniversary is from Sweethearts Cricut cart and the butterflies are a Tonic pinch.
Below is a picture of my mum and dad a year before they got married and a picture of them today, as you can see they are as happy today as they were when they were 'courting!'

BBTB2 HERITAGE CURLY TREE AND END OF MONTH BLOGHOP!

Hello Everyone
It's Monday and time for the BBTB2 challenge and it's also month end so it's bloghop time!
This week it 's my turn to host the challenge so I chose the beautiful curly tree cut from the Heritage cartridge. Don't worry if you don't have this cartridge you can use any tree from any cartridge for your project.
I decided to make a thank you card and all my cuts are done at 5 1/2" using ivory pearlescent card and gold mirricard. I welded the tree from Heritage cart offset to a silhouette circle from Geoge And Basic Shapes cart using Design Studio and also cut a silhouette circle on it's own (both in ivory) I cut a circle from George in gold Mirricard and finally I cut my card base in ivory using the circle bauble tag from Joys Of The Season cart and cut the top of the bauble off by hand which gave me a circular card. All layers have then been pop dotted as follows: the gold mirricard on to my base card followed by the welded silhouette and tree followed by the silhouette circle, by pop dotting each layer I got a nice reflection of my tree against the mirricard. I then added some little frosted glass leaf charms and a gold thank you peel off to finish.
The design team have produced the most beautiful tree projects for this weeks challenge so please be sure to visit BBTB 2 and take a look and we would love to see your take on the challenge too!
Don't forget to follow our bloghop too for a chance to win a little blog candy on the way. If you are following the hop you will have reached my blog from Maria's wonderful blog, just leave me a comment (and contact details)and you could win the little candy below and then hop on over to Penny's fabulous blog for your next stop!
I will draw a winner on Saturday 3rd September!

Thanks so much for visiting me today and have a great week!

BBTB2 PIE CHALLENGE

Hello
Today is BBTB2 Monday and this week our sweet and lovely Krista chose cut for us to work with. Krista loves to bake so she chose the Pie cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. Of course if you don't have this cart you can use a pie from any cart.
My card is 6x6" and the backing papers are the apple collection from the Autumn set of Pink Petticoat (download) printed in black and white. I used both the positive and the negative for the background. I then added some red and white gingham ribbon which I tied at the sides of my card. My apple pie is cut at 10" (it comes out at about 4" across irl). I cut it 3 times, once in little harlequinn card (another Pink Pettticoat download printed in a pistaccio green) for the base and twice on cream card. I cut the 2 pie tops away from their bases and  used the tops to complete the piecrust for my apple pie. The two top layers have been pop dotted for some dimension and I inked around the edge of the top layer of piecrust with yellow ink and a smidge of brown. To finish off I added german glitter glass for a sugar coated top! and some teeny tiny red and white polka dot buttons. Finally I needed a sentiment and I was stuck!! It took me an age then all of a sudden it came to me lol!! the word Happiest had 'pie' in the middle! I printed the sentiment on my computer in red and green highlighting pie in black and layered them with pop dots on mats of green and red. Font is cheri.
Now go feast your eyes on the delicious pie's my DT sisters over at BBTB2 have created for you this week, they all look so scrumptious! and lets see your pies yum yum!
Thanks so much for popping in today

BBTB2 MELON CHALLENGE + BLOGHOP!

Hello
It's time for the month end challenge over at BBTB2 and Heather our fabulous leader chose the Melon cut from an old favourite cart Stretch Your Imagination
I decided to use the melon cut in a different way and made a banner!
All my American cyber friends will be celebrating the 5th of July very soon so I made this  card to celebrate their special day!
My card is 6x6" and I cut three melons on blackout and layer @2". The papers are (stripey) printed from a Pink Petticoat download and the stars are from a free download from Gina K.  The little boy cut is from A Childs Year (one of my faves to use at the moment :) ) and I flipped the cut and cut the shadow in red card and base in white card @ 3"and cuttled the base cut with CB folder Swiss dots. This has been pop dotted on to the card just for a little dimension. The word happy is also cut from A Childs Year in gold mirricard @ 1 1/4" and 4th is from Joys of the Season also in gold mirricard @ 2 1/4".  To finish off  I added some gorgeous adhesive little gold balls which my wonderful friend Lillie sent me, thanks Lillie!
As it's month end some of my DT sisters are hopping and offering a little candy along the way so pop over to BBTB2 now and follow the hop from there and see all their mouthwatering melon creations too! We would love you to join in our challenge too and you can use a melon cut from any cart to enter!
Have a great week everyone and thanks for popping in!

BBTB2 SUNNY DAYS CHALLENGE

Hello!
Long time no blog! I've been busy with Connor, last few weeks of college and he gets a bit stressed with finishing all his assignments and I've been a bit stressed making sure he gets support again next year. This happens every year I guess I should be used to it by now, but anyway everything has been sorted now!
This week over at BBTB2 our wonderfully creative Susan chose the cut which is the phrase Sunny Days from the Celebrate With Flourish cart. As I don't have this cart I used Create-A-Critter which has the phrase  on too!
My card is 6x6" and I started with the white base and then took two pieces of card , one blue dotty and one piece of lemon pearlesentcut at 6x6 and I cut them from the corner with my paper trimmer to produce the 'sun rays' and paper pieced on to the card. The lemon pearlescent is embossed with CB folder Divine Swirls. I cut a 3" circle using Plantin School cart in lemon and embossed with a QK folder and offset in the corner of my card for the sun. The umbrella silhouette is from A Childs Year cut at 3 1/2" in black card and Sunny Days from Create-A-Critter is cut at 1 3/4" in black and the layer in pink. Lastly I found these itty bitty pink shell beads in my stash and added them to finish off.
I really enjoyed making this as it made me feel all summery unlike the weather we're having here at the moment in the UK!! Rain rain and more rain! I think we had our summer in April lol I do hope it comes back soon!
Don't forget to pop over to BBTB2 and  see the fabulous projects the DT have created this week and as always we'd love you to join in with the challenge too!
Hae a lovely week everyone and thanks so much for popping by!

BBTB2 CAKE CHALLENGE AND END OF MONTH BLOGHOP!

Hello!
Well I've not been here for a couple of weeks, my laptop died on me and have just had it back but it cost me as I had to have a new hard drive! Luckily I had backed up though !
So on to today's BBTB2 challenge which has been set by our lovely  uber talented Carole! Carole asked us to use the cake on p99 from the Celebrations cartridge, this was one of my early Cricut carts and what a great cart and do you know I was flicking through the handbook and there are no blank spaces not like a lot of the newer carts!
For my card I used a 6x6" card and papers are downloads from Pink Petticoat. The cake is cut at 4", I cut 2 shadows in black cardstock, blackout in pink, base in yellow/white polka dot and base shift in pink. I layered up all the pieces on to one shadow piece, added a Happy Birthday glitter peel off and lime green gems. Next I added three real birthday candles at the back of the cake and using 3mm thick black pop dots made a sandwich with the second shadow cut (hope that makes sense lol the candles are sandwiched between the two shadow cuts) I then pop dotted again on to my card. I think I might enclose a little note when I send this card  " Candles for decoration only. Do not light!!" He he you never know better to be safe!
It's end of month too so that means a bloghop! This month my  candy is a little wooden house, (picture below) I say little it stands about 9" tall and is all ready for you to alter and decorate. I just had to get one for myself too!
You should have reached me from our wonderfully talented Krista's blog, just leave me a quick comment to let me know you were here to be entered into my candy draw before zooming on over to see what fabulous creation Theresa has to show you! Make sure you leave me a way to contact you and I will make the draw on Saturday June 4th.
Don't forget we would love you to join in our cake challenge at BBTB2 and if you don't have the Celebrations cart there are lots of cakes to choose from on other carts that you can use!

Thanks so much for popping by today!

BBTB2 SUNGLASSES, FOREVER YOUNG CHALLENGE

Hi all
This week over  at BBTB2 Heather our wonderful team leader chose the cut for us and it's the sunglasses from Forever Young cartridge. You can use any sunglasses from any cart if you don't have this one.
These glasses remind me of the sunglasses my mum wore when she was young which remind me of cat's eyes hence my card today!
I used a 6x6"card and the backing paper is printed from the Pink Petticoat Lola Rose collection. The lovely cat is cut from Paisley cartridge (p73 tab cut so no markings on the cat) , I used design studio to size the glasses before cutting as they needed to be under 1". The glasses are cut using tiny leopard print pattern from the same Pink Petticoat collection ( I cut the arms off the glasses by hand) and the lenses cut with black mirricard (they are very shiny in real life although my photo doesn't show that!). The sentiment is computer generated fonts are Andy and Gigi. Everything is pop dotted on to the card for a little dimension and gems added for a bit of sparkle!
This would have been a quick and easy card but after trying to draw feline features and 6 cat cuts later I realised that drawing is definitely not my forte lol! so I settled for a little heart gem nose!
Pop on over to BBTB2 and see the fabulous sunglasses projects the rest of the team have created and please join in with us as we love seeing your wonderful creations!
Have a wonderful week and thank you so much for visiting!

BBTB2 HOME DECOR CROWN CHALLENGE

Hello everyone
What beautiful weather we're having here at  the moment! Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Easter and plenty of chocolate!
Well it's time for our weekly BBTB2 challenge and I have the honour of hosting this weeks challenge! I chose either of the Crown cuts from the Home Decor Solutions Cartridge.
I created a card that I hope any little Princess would like to receive!
My card measures 8"x 5" and I have printed straight on to the card using Echo Park's digital kit Little Girl and this is from the Elements 1 pack which can be purchased here at Jessica Sprague. I thought this looked  like the subway art which is so popular right now! I chose the tiara like crown from the Home Decor cart which I cut at 2" three times, once in pink (blackout) and twice with silver mrricard. (one base and one blackout), I adhered the pink layer to the back of the silver base cut then pop doted on to the silver base cut and then pop dotted again on to the card for some dimension. I have blinged up the crown to within an inch of it's life with clear and pink gems! Finally I cut the little wand from Paper Doll Dressup at 3" it's one of the icon cuts, I cut 2 of the base in silver mirricard and one of just the star which was on the shift of the icon cut. The two wands are layered on top of each other for some strength then I have added pink tuille behind the wand which is then 'sandwiched' with the star cut. Finally more pink and clear gems on the wand and on the hearts on the card and then the wand pop dotted on to the card.
Now don't forget to pop over to BBTB2 and check out all the gorgeous crown creations my DT sister have made and we would love it if you joined in the challenge, if you don't have Home Decor you can use any crown from any cart and there are lots!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful week!

BBTB2 PINEAPPLE CHALLENGE!

Hello There!
It's Monday and challenge time over at BBTB2 and this week our very talented Karen chose the cut for us, the Pineapple from Wall Decor and More cartridge.
My card is 6x6" and the backing paper is from the Stripes collection which is a download from Pink Petticoat. I cut my pineapple at 7" 3 times twice in green polka dot paper (Bo Bunny)and once in yellow. I cut the green leaves from one of the green cuts and offset behind my base cut and cut the pineapple from the yellow, embossed it with a Quickutz folder which I cannot find the name of now (I used the debossed side) and mounted on the front of my base cut. I aded black gems to my pineapple some turquoise ribbon and a button, oh and not forgetting the orange straw which I cut down from a real straw! This has been pop dotted on to the card for a little dimension. The word Party is cut from Straight from the Nest cart at 2 1/2" and is part of the Hen Party cut. I cut the shadow in black card (American Crafts) and the base in pink card (C'ordinations) three times and again pop dotted on to the card. The colours are much more vibrant in real life, but as I am usually a night crafter my photos are not as great as they could be!!
I hope you will join in our challenge this week, we love seeing your creations and you can use any pineapple from any of the many carts if you don't have Wall Decor.
Have a wonderful week everyone and thanks for popping by!

BBTB2 MOTHER'S DAY 2010 CHALLENGE

Hello all
Hope you all here in the UK had a lovely Mother's day yesterday, I did!
Our challenge over at BBTB2 this week has been  set by Lori and was to use any of the words/sentiments on the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge. I bought this cart after Mother's Day last year just for the cut I've used on my cards and have had this very simple idea for the cards ever since! As Mother's day in the UK was yesterday this was a great time for  this challenge to be set! Thanks Lori!
My cards are  6x6" and both use Hunky Dory foiled card, stripe and polka dots in pink and lilac.I covered the fronts with the striped card, The Happy Mother's Day cut is cut at 5 1/2" in silver mirri card for the shadow and polka dot for the base cut then pop dotted on to the card. The butterflies are cut in silver mirri using a Tonic punch from Hobbycraft and I've added some tiny gems. That's it very simple easy cards and my mum and mother in law loved them!
The projects my DT sisters have created over at BBTB2  are absolutely beautiful so make sure to pop over and take a peek and we'd love you to join us in the challenge this week!
Have a great week and thanks so much for looking!

BBTB2 PAISLEY DACHSHUND CHALLENGE

Hiya
It's been ages again since I blogged!! But I'm here today with a card for the BBTB2 challenge this week.
Our lovely DT member Melissa chose the adorable dachshund cut from the Paisley cartridge for us to play with!
Well I thought this little dog deserved some birthday pampering so my card shows her mistress taking her to the 'Pooch Parlour!'
This card was so quick to put together which is a good thing as my mojo has taken something of a nose dive lately! I sure hope I find it soon!
I had purchased the digi background ages ago and it comes in a set called Girls About Town which you can buy HERE. This Digi collection comes in colour and black and white if you wish to colour yourself. I went with the already coloured image and sized and printed it straight on to a 6x6" card blank. I did add the Birthday Treat computerized sentiment to the image before printing. I cut my little dachshund using the card cut at 2 1/2" because I didn't want any line cuts that would have been on the base cut. I was going for a silhouette look! The girl is the pregnat lady from New Arrival cart and I cut her on blackout at 4" and just manually cut off her bump! They are then both pop dotted onto the card. Lots of crystal bling added and for the dog's lead I just threaded a jump ring over the girl's wrist and the lead is a silver peel off border.
Be sure to pop over to BBTB2 and take a look at the gorgeous projects the rest of the team have created this week, they're fabulous!
Thank you so much for popping in today.
Hope you all have a great week!
