WEDDING CARD

Good evening
A couple of weeks back a friend asked me to make a wedding card for her to send .
When I make commissioned cards I tend to do less is more so I made this card all white with just some pearl trim.
The card is A5 in size (8 1/2"x5 1/2") using white hammer card. The cake is cut from Wedding Solutions Cricut Cart at 4 1/2". I cut one shadow and inked around the edges with a pink ink pad. The base was cut 3 times once in a self embossed striped card and twice in hammer card. I cut the hearts and cake plate  from the striped card and layered them over one of the other base cuts. I cut just the cake from my final base cut and embossed it with another of my new Papermania embossing folders Victorian Fleur. I then pop dotted all layers for dimension. Finally I added some pearl trim from Hobbycraft to finish off and a computer generated sentiment (font Amaze)
Thanks for popping in on me and don't forget I have a litttle blogcandy still on offer on the next post down so if you would like to win leave a comment and contact on that post before midday (GMT) tomorrow (Saturday 31st July) when I will do a random draw.
Have a great weekend

BBTB2 ICE CREAM CUT FROM STRETCH YOUR IMAGINATION AND A BLOGHOP! 'D-LISH!'

Good Morning
Over a t BBTB2 this week we are creating using the Ice cream cut from Stretch Your Imagination Cart. I love this cart it has so many fab images. I designed my card using a frame from the cart to make an aperture card which I did with DS. The card is 6x6" and the ice cream has been cut at 6" too. I made the word backing paper on my computer and found this fab sentiment 'd-lish!' on Forever Young cart which has been cut at 2". I resisted the urge to fancy up my card with bling and bows as I liked the retro feel of this card so it's quite plain for me !!
Hope you will pop over to BBTB2 and see the yummy creations the rest of the DT have made and also it's that time of the month again too, time for a BLOGHOP! If you are already following the bloghop you should have reached me from the wonderful Krista's blog. I am offering a little candy for you and all you need to do is leave me a comment to let me know you've been here as well as a contact for you and I will do a random draw on Saturday 31st July. Next on the BLOGHOP this week is the lovely Lori so make sure you visit her fab blog after mine!
Thanks so much for visiting today and have a great rest of the week!!

CUTTLEBUGSPOT CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Good evening
Well this week at the Cuttlebugspot we are celebrating Christmas in July!!
I decided to opt for a simple elegant card using cream finely ribbed pearlescent card, gold mirri card some pearls and some ribbon.
The card is A5 in size and folds from the top, I made this card by cutting an A3 piece of pearlescent cream card lenghtways. The Merry  Christmas panel is an embossing folder from Papermania, they have started making these beautiful Christmas folders and I've had to buy 3 already! they are like the cb folders and give a lovely deep impression when embossed, of course I must buy the rest of the collection now!! I used the 3x3 CB dove emboss and cut folder in the corner which I cut twice once in cream and once in gold and slightly offset them and cut  and embossed  the leaf in gold. I adhered some gold ribbon (from Costco) down the centre of the card  and made a bow at the  top, then after matting the panel with pop dots for dimension onto gold mirricard placed the panel down in the centre and pop dotted the dove on the right hand corner. Finally lots of little pearls to finish. This card was quick to design and make up which is what I need with all the cards I have to make at Christmas time!
We would love you all to join in with the challenge this week and get a head start on your Christmas cards too! There's a great prize for the winnr too! Pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see all the gorgeous creations the rest of the DT have created!
Thanks so much for popping in to see me again!

CUTTLEBUGSPOT SKETCH CHALLENGE AND LILY-BOO

Good evening
Well I'm late posting this week for the Cuttlebugspot, I don't know where the week has gone! I have been a bad blogger and haven't even had time to visit my fave blogs! I must try and manage my time better!
Anyway this week over at the Spot we were asked to follow a sketch by our very talented DT member Aymee.
I decided to use this fabulous new digi image from  Lily-Boo which can be purchased HERE for just 99p! isn't she just the cutest litttle Pirate Girl.. I coloured her with Promarkers and my white signo gel pen for the polka dots on her dress and inked around the edges of the mat in pink. All the papers used are from Pink Petticoat paper downloads all mat and layered on black and the sentiment is computer generated. I have embossed the pink panel with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder which is from Oh My Crafts and was their Christmas exclusive last year. Finally I added a black bow to finish.
I hope you're all enjoying your weekend and if you haven't already been over to the Cuttlebugspot please pop over and join us in the challenge this week, as always there's a great prize to be had for the winner!
Thanks for looking

BBTB2. OWL CUT STORYBOOK CART ' NIGHT OWLS' PAPER LANTERN

Good evening
Over at BBTB2 this week DT member Karen chose the  gorgeous Owl cut from Storybook cart for us to play with.
I seem to have a thing about  candle decor at the moment so decided to have a go at making a paper lantern to place over a tealight.
I designed my littel lantern using DS and the Storybook Owl along with cuts from Plantin School. I used quite a lightweight card for this 160gsm as it shows the light from the tealight through better. My lantern stands about 5" tall and looks much nicer in the dark this photo was taken in the daylight.
Don't forget to pop over to BBTB2 and see the gorgeous creations the DT have made this week and we would love you to join in with the challenge too!
Have a great week and thanksfor popping in today

CUTTLEBUGSPOT DECORATED CANDLES

Good evening
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to dust off our 2x2" dies /embossing folders so I looked in my stash and found this Cuttlebug 2 step die set Scribbled Flowers that I have had for about 3 years and never used! I've included the die in my photo I'm sure you recognise it.
I decided to decorate a set of candles for my project this week. Using the outline flower die from the set I cut 6 flowers with American crafts black cardstock for  each candle and attached them together with small silver jump rings and added crystal gems to the centres of the flowers. Voila a plain set of candles all prettied up!
Pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see the gorgeous creations my DT sisters have made this week and be sure to get out your 2x2" dies/embossing folders and join us! There's a great prize again this week for the winner!
Thanks for popping in today

CUTTLEBUGSPOT. CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY

Happy weekend everyone!
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make something to celebrate Independence Day which is this weekend July 4th.
I made a Freedom card. The card is a large card approx 10x4" and the base cardstock has a self embossed white stripe. I used a bold font for the word freedom (sorry can't remember the font) I used SCAL for this and I should use it more as you can choose any font you have on your compute and shadowing is a breeze! The shadow card has a linen self emboss and the base letters have been embossed with the Stars Cuttlebug folder. I cut the bunting using Give A hoot Cricut cart, stripey paper is Pink Petticoat and star paper is Gina K  and adhered them on some red and white bakers twine. Finally the letters are gold glittery letters from Making Memories.
We'd love to see your take on our challenge this week and there's a whopping great prize for the winner this week of a $50 gift certificate from Simon says Stamps!!
Enjoy the weekend everyone I will be watching Wimbledon on TV!  And to all my American Blogging friends I would like to say HAVE A WONDERFUL JULY 4TH!
Thanks as always for visting me today

BBTB2 PAPER DOLL DRESS UP GENIE LAMP CHALLENGE 'TEA FOR TWO'

Hello there
Well I've been away for a few days I took Connor and his friend Dan down to the caravan in West Wales for a little break as they have just finished their GCSE's so it was a well earned break for them. They had a great break and we had a fab day out at Oakwood Theme Park too!
Well back to the challenge over at BBTB2 this week and Julia from the Design team chose the Genie lamp cut from Paper Doll Dress Up cart for us to play with. When I saw this cut all I could see was a teapot and the song Tea For Two kept going through my head lol!
So I decided to make a Tea For Two little shadowbox card. I made the little shadowbox in DS using squares from Plantin School. The card measures 6x6" and 1/2 inch deep. The little girl and boy having tea are from A Childs Year cart cut in shadow twice and base once for a bit of depth. I cut the teapot (genie lamp) 3 times and cut the lid and base off the third one and inked with a pink Versacolour chalk ink. I have also inked around the frame and the figures.I handcut a little  hanging sign which is hung by 2 jump rings to the top of the frame and finished the sentiment off at the bottom of the frame ana added a couple of tiny pink heart gems.  (Sentiment is computer generated) I added a pink frosted heart from my stashto the teapot and finally 3 pink roses from Hobbycraft to the top corner. All papers are Pink Petticoat. This card reminds me of when I was little as my mum had a black lacquered jewellry box which my dad got her from Japan when he was in the Navy. I used to love to open it and see the little ballerina spinning round to the song ' Tea For Two' I must ask her if she still has it!
Hope you will visit us at BBTB2 the DT have made the most fantastic creations using the Genie lamp and we would love to see your take on this weeks challenge!
Thank so much for visiting
