HALLOWEEN TREAT BAGS, CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good evening
Well this flu bug really took it's toll on me. I only started to feel better on the weekend so that why I haven't been around for a couple of weeks. I'm left at the moment with not much of a voice much too my son's delight lol! but am starting to feel my old self!
This week over at the Cuttlebugspot Nilda asked us to make Halloween treat holders. My DT sisters have made some fabulous treat bags/holder so make sure you have a look!
Mine is quite simple, I made a bag for a boy and one for a girl. The bags are cut from Tags Bags and boxes cricut cart at 6 1/2" using stripey papers from Pink Petticoat. I decorated them with the CB 3x3 cut and embossing dyes bats and spiders for the boys and pumpkin for the girl, (all pop dotted) I added some orange organza ribbon and a b/w spotty button to the girls bag and some computer generated tags
Hope you can join in with us this week we'd love to see your spooky treat holders and there's a prize for the winner too!

'TWEET ' BIRTHDAY WISHES CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good evening
Well I've had an icky flu bug all week so apologies for not getting around to commenting on all your lovely creations will try and catch up this week still feeling icky but starting to feel more myself!
I am late posting my project this week as when I sent it to Nilda it seems to have got lost in cyberspace but it's got there now!
This week over at the Cuttlebugspot Nilda asked us to make a project using monochramatic colours ie different tones of one colour.
I made a card and a little box to hold some sweets.
The card is 6x6 and all the papers are from Pink Petticoat. I printed the papers pink first then overprinted with the pink patterned designs. I cut the little birdhouse and birdie with my QK revolution die 'bird' which I recently purchased from the Scrapping Cottage and layered on a mat using my new Nellie's die cuts ( these are like nesties and I got them at a Craft fair a couple of weeks ago and I love them!) the 'pink sun in the cornere is a Nellies also, you can see more at www.nellies-choice.com. I used pink Prima say it in pearls for embellishing and some hearts and pink gem from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated in pink (font Cheri) and everything pop dotted and inked.
The little birdbox was handcut using a template designed by Nichole Heady on behalf of Papertry ink But I improvised with the roof as I didn't have the nesties she used! All the embossing is done with CB Swiss Dots folder.
Hope you like my project this week, the rest of the DT have created the most beautiful projects, be sure to visit and we'd love you to join in!
Have a great week everyone!

BAUBLE CARD

Woohoo two posts in one day!
Over at Lily-Boo Sam Has drawn the most fabulous bauble collection which is on sale now for £1.99 for a collection of 6 baubles! They are so versatile!
I decided to make a bauble shaped card using the Merry Christmas bauble. First I handcut a bauble card in gold mirri using my printed acetate bauble as a template. having printed the design on to inkjet acetate I painted on red stickles from the back. Can I tell you that they took and age to dry and I had to resort to putting it in the fridge for hours to dry! LOL!. I adhered it at the top where it would be covered in ribbon so would not show then added some red satin ribbon, some wired gold and some gold beading and I was done! This card was so hard to photograph as you can see lol!
That's all for today be back soon!

HOPE. CUTTLEBUG SPOT

Good morning
Well as it's October it's Breast Cancer Awareness month so this weeks challenge over at the Cuttlebugspot is 'Pretty in Pink' to honour this very worthy cause.
I decided to make a card in the shape of a ribbon which I made in Design Studio using Opposites Attract ampersand cut off at the bottom. For the base layer I used a free download called Pretty in Pink from Pink Petticoat which has been pop dotted on to the card. I covered this with little pearls and added the sentiment HOPE (also from the free Pink Petticoat download) added a pink heart for the 'O' cuttled with the tiny hearts CB folder and mounted on to a pink flower.
Thanks for looking today, we would love for you to join us in the challenge this month to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Care
Have a lovely week everyone

HAPPY WORLD CARDMAKING DAY!

click the pictures for a larger view

Hi
Well today is World Cardmaking Day and I can't show what I have been making today as they are DT cards not scheduled til tomorrow and Monday. I was going to sneak preview one but my stickles are being very stubborn and won't dry on the acetate! I hope they dry by tomorrow morning!
So I'm going to post two cards done on the computer that I made this week.
The one with the whisky glass was made for Graham who enjoys a glass of whisky, I added his name in the whisky glass some border and it was done. The other is a birthday card for my dear Auntie Gwynnie and is an old photo of her when she was a little girl with her family which I antiqued then colourized her dress and hairband pink so she stands out in the card. added some borders and a couple of flowers.
Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend and creating lots of cards!
