HOLIDAY GIFT TAG. BBTB2 CHALLENGE

Hi

Hi

It's Monday and over at BBTB2 this week our lovely Laura asked us to create a Holiday Gift Tag for this week's challenge.

I wanted a pocket tag so that the recipient of my gift will get and extra little gift of some candy canes and found the perfect pocket tag on an oldie but goodie cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I can't give you dimensionsas I just stretched my tag in CCR so that I knew it would fit 3 candy canes and cut it  using Kraft cardstock. The Snowflake and 25 are 2 separate cuts from Teresa Collins December 25th cartridge. I wrapped my tag with baker's twine before pop dotting the 25 and snowflake on top for a bit of dimension and added some Shimmer dome dots (from the Papermania range) to the points of the snowflake. Finally I added some more baker's twine to the top of my tag and of course 3 delicious candy canes!

Go take a peek over at BBTB2 and see the gorgeous tags that my DT sister's have created and show us your Holiday tags using your Cricut , we love seeing your creations!

Have a great week everyone!

BBTB2 WHITE ON WHITE CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE

Hi
It's Monday and time for another BBTB2 challenge and this week I have the pleasure of choosing the challenge!!

I really need to make a start on my Christmas cards so I chose the theme A White on White Christmas card/project. You can use any Cricut cartridge for your creations.

I used Winter Woodland cartridge for my card using the phrase Let it Snow and welding 2 of the shadow cuts together in CCR to make a shaped card. I cut 4 shadow and base layers adhering and pop dotting atop each layer to ensure perfect placement of the wording then pop dotting on top for dimension,. I used 3 different embossing folders for added texture. Finally I added little turquoise gems to the snowflakes to finish off, so that's one Christmas card completed !

Pop over to BBTB2 and have a look at the beautiful projects my DT sisters have created,  they are all wonderful,   and be sure to let us see your White on White Christmas creations by joining us in this week's challenge.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great week!

TRICK OR TREAT BBTB2 HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE

Hi
It's time for a  'Trick or Treat'  Halloween challenge as chosen by our lovely Jayne over at BBTB2 today!

I chose to make some of these cute 3D pumpkins which are free on Cricut Craftroom at the moment!
I cut 4 of the dotty pumpkins at 2 1/2" and 4 at 4 1/2" and 4 of the zig zag pumpkins at 3 1/2". and finally 3 corresponding leaves in the said sizes. The pumpkin cuts are all perfectly symmetrical so you just score each one down the centre and glue them back to back so each 4 make one 3D pumpkin. I used My Mind's Eye Hallowen Sparkly stack for my papers, inking all the edges once I had 'built' my pumpkins and added some black organza ribbon to finish off along with the cut leaves.

Please pop over to BBTB2 and look at their fabulous Halloween creations, they are amazing! and please join us in our challenge this week.

Thanks for popping by!

FALL LEAVES ARE FALLING. BBTB2 CHALLENGE

Hi
Over at BBTB2 this week our fabulous DT leader Susan chose Fall Leaves for our challenge. Susan asked us to use the maple leaf from Art Philosophy cricut cartridge or any other cartridge if we didn't have this cartridge.
I don't  have this cartridge so chose a maple leaf from the Stamping cartridge.

I created a shaped card using Cricut Craft Room to weld 2 shadow leaf cuts at 7" together. I cut another shadow in cream linen for the front of my card and the base cut at 7" using kraft card. I embossed the kraft card using Creative Expressions embossing folder 'Crackle' then pop dotted the shadow and the top layer on to my card base for extra dimension. Thanks is cut using a cuttlebug die in cream and black card and slightly offset to create a shadow look. Finally I twisted some gold and bronze jewellry wire to create some leaf tendrils and tied some cream and black raffia to finish off.

Please pop over to BBTB2 and see the fabulous fall leaf creations from the rest of the DT, and please join us in our challenge we always love seeing your beautiful creations!

Thanks for popping in!

BBTB2 DOG OR CAT CHALLENGE

Hiya
Today over at BBTB2 the theme of our challenge is 'Dog or Cat which is your favourite?'

Well,  growing up we had a dog and a cat and I loved them both equally but looking through my cartridges I couldn't resist the little scotty dog on 'Just Because' Cards cartridge.

For my project I just plainly decorated a gift bag with some stripey paper and cut Happy Birthday from the Stamping cartridge  shadow and base at 2". Then I cut out the little dog using black shrink  plastic ( cuts like a dream with my Cricut!!) at 7" and punched a hole before shrinking him down with my heatgun to make a little dog charm for a keyring. I added some blue gems for a collar,  a little bone charm,  then added them both to a key ring finding, a nice little extra gift on the bag for the recipient!

Please pop over to BBTB2 and see the super creations from the rest of the DT and let's see your lovely projects, which do you prefer Dogs or Cats? there are plenty to choose from on many cricut cartridges!

Thanks so much for popping by

LET'S GET WET! BBTB2 CHALLENGE

Hi everyone

It's BBTB2 challenge Monday and today our lovely Michelle chose the theme 'Let's get Wet!' You can use anything water related using any cut from any Cricut cartridge.

As my dad has his birthday this coming Wednesday I thought I would make this card for him, so it's very clean and simple.  He loves the sea and used to love to sail!

I used a DL card and covered it with some DCWV stripey blue paper for my sea and sky setting. I cut these simple yachts with lovely swirly crest waves using Wall Decor and more cartridge using white for the base cut and I cut 2 black shadows so I could layer them for some dimension.  The word dad has been cut using gold mirri card and the digital cartridge  Craftroom Basics which comes free in CCR with the Cricut Mini machine.  I cut them in different sizes to fit the sails. Finally Happy birthday is a white rub on on a scrap of black card layered on to white.

Please go and look at all the fabulous projects from the BBTB2  DT this week and be sure to let us see your gorgeous creations too!

It's Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK so hope you all have a fabulous day,me I'm off to work soon!!!

'BY THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON' BBTB2 MOON AND STARS CHALLENGE

Hi
It's my pleasure to host the BBTB2 challenge this week!  I asked my DT sisters to create a project using Moons and/or Stars using any Cricut cartridge of their choice.

When I decided on this challenge I couldn't get the song 'By the light of the silvery moon ' out of my head, hence the design of my card!

I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the moon and stars and welded the couple from Sweethearts to the moon then welded   to a rectangle to form the shaped card.  I cut the front welded shapes again in silver and then the stars again in yellow and 2 more of the couple on their own in white. I embossed the silver layer with an embossing folder (sizzix but the name escapes me) and the stars with Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder. I covered the back of the card with midnight blue glitter paper. Finally I pop dotted  all my layers to the front for dimension.

Please pop over to BBTB2 and see the beautiful creations from the rest of the DT  and we would love to see your creations too!

Thanks so much for popping in today

Have a wonderful week!

Hi

This week over at BBTB2 our fabulously talented Jayne chose Christmas in July as our theme using any Cricut cartridge.

I bought Teresa Collins December 25th cartridge back last year and it's got some beatiful shapes on it and as I have only used it once I decided to create a card using it..

I used the frame, Christmas word tree and santa and sleigh silhouette all from Dec. 25th and welded them together in CCR and cut a separate santa and sleigh silhoiuette in black which I added to the top of the base cut I had created. I covered the base of my card with red gingham paper, added a few gems and finally I added a little charm that I made from some chain, jump rings and some little jingle bells.

Please pop over to BBTB2 and see the gorgeous Christmas creations from the rest of the team and I know it's Summer but get a head start on your Christmas projects by joining us in our challenge, we love seeing your creations!

BBTB2 BEACH TIME CHALLENGE

Good morning

This week's challenge over at BBTB2 has been chosen by our lovely Caroline who asked us to create a project with a beach theme, quite apt for all the tropical weather we are experiencing here in the UK at the moment!

I made a card using this scene from Formal Occasions Cricut cartridge, very easy to go together and I made the base into a shaped card by cutting 2 and scoring one to adhere as the back of my card. I cut a few of the layers twice to ,  make it a bit more dimensional I added the word Paradise from Life is a Beach which didn't come with a shadow cut so I cut a second in white and just offset it. Finally I just added a few shell beads to finish off.

Please go visit BBTB2 and see all the beautiful projects created by the rst of the DT and please join in! You can use any cartridge to create your fabulous beach creations!

have a wondrful week everyone

BBTB2 SUMMER FOODS CHALLENGE. STRAWBERRIES YUM!

Good Morning
Today over at BBTB2 our lovely Stephanie challenged us to create a project with Summer Foods using any cut from any Cricut Cartridge.

Well, Wimbledon will soon be upon us and that can only mean one thing,  Strawberries!!  So that was the theme for my project today, I made a card and some little strawberry treat containers which will hold a few chocolates yum!

Quick and simple so here's what I used

Spring Cottage - Strawberry treat containers cut at 3" and 4" tied with polka organza ribbon
Martha Stewart Seasonal -  the pennant flags cut at 2"
Indie Art - blackout strawberry which I welded to the top pennants to make strawberry apertures on white layer to show the red polka dot of the base layer.
Lovely Floral - Sweet which I sized in CCR to fit my 5"x5" card.
I have used Couture Creations Tied Together embossing folder to emboss the green layer on the card and a sizzix folder (name escapes me) for the strawberry leaves on the treat holders.

Please go visit BBTB2 and see the yummy summer food projects from the rest of the DT and as always we would love to see your take on this week's challenge!

BBTB2 ZOO ANIMAL CHALLENGE

Hi
It's Monday and time for this week's challenge at BBTB2.  Our lovely Sharon is hosting the challenge this week and she asked us to create a project using a zoo animal from any cartridge.

I made a card and matching tag using an oldie but goodie cartridge Zooballoo.  A lot of the older cartridges featured silhouette outlines of cuts and I love these and use them often.

My card is  4"x6" and top opening. I covered with pink digital papers from Pink Petticoat and added some bllack and whit polka dot ribbon where the papers met. I used the silhouette outline cut of this darling little elephant from Zooballoo cut at 4", added some googly eyes and some blue Prima flowers  and coloured some gems black with a Sharpie for the centres. The greeting is a rub on.  The matching tag, also from Zooballoo was a plain tag with a square aperture (3") and I used CCR to weld the little elephant in to the aperture,  shadow cut in pink again and then matched the embellishment to the card.  Super fast and simple and and the first time I've not used Foam dots in ages!

Please pop over to BBTB2 and have a look at the fabulous Zoo projects the rest of the DT have created and join in the challenge with us!

Thanks for visiting and Happy Whitsun Bank Holiday (UK) and Happy Memorial Day (US) to you all

BBTB2 PASS IT ON CHALLENGE

Hello
It's BBTB2 challenge Monday and this week our very talented Sarah has chosen the theme of 'Pass it On'  Create a project that you can pass on just because,  not for any particular reason and brighten someone's day!  You can use any cut from any Cricut cartridge.

I decided to make card and decorate a bag to match to hold a little gift.

I bought Create A Critter cartridge ages ago  just for this sweet little owl and this is the first time I have cut her!

Now I have a little story, you know me, old school still using Design Studio, well not for this one gasp!!  I work at Hobbycraft and we've just had the Cricut Mini, I was so excited and of course volunteered to bring one home and set up CCR and do some samples for the shop.  I loved CCR (Cricut Craft Room which is a free online design programme for anyone out there who doesn't know) it's so easy to use and the Cricut Mini cuts like a dream, I'm really impressed by this little machine!

Now back to the details of my card, I welded 2 base owl cuts at 5.5" at the ears to make a shaped card and then cut a black base layer,  a pink layer and a green and white polka dot layer. beak and feet were cut in light blue. To assemble I pop dotted each layer for some dimension. The little owl on the bag has been cut the same but at 4" and laid on to a mat of pink gingham paper.  The sentiments and patterned paper are both from Craftwork Cards and I just inked over the sentiments to colour them pink. Finally my little obsession of late, tuille!  I added some light blue tuille bows to the bag and a little one to the card.

As for passing it on I have cut another set to assemble which I intend on giving to my lovely Mum!

Please jump on over to BBTB2 and see the gorgeous projects from the rest of the DT and please join in our challenge as we always love seeing your take!

Thanks so much for popping in and have a great week everyone!

BBTB2 WEDDING BELLS ARE RINGING CHALLENGE

Hi
It's time for our BBTB2 challenge and it's my pleasure to host this week!

With Summer on the way  Wedding season is just around the corner  so I asked my DT sisiters to create a wedding or anniversary card using any Cricut cartridge and wait til you see their stunning creations!

I went with a very monochrome look in black and white for my card using 2 cartridges,  Life is a Party for the card and frame and Wedding Solutions for the bride and groom. The shaped card base is cut at 5 1/2"and the layers of which I cut 3  (Life is a Party) . For one of my layers I welded the wedding couple  (Wedding Solutions) to the inside of the heart. I used some flocked black and white damask paper which I adherd to the card base then each of my layers have been pop dotted for dimension. The first layer has glitter white tuille ruffled and adhered behind the heart and also the third layer which has a layer of tuille adhered behind the heart, then the middle layer with the couple has been 'sandwiched' in between these two layers. The top layer has been embossed with a 6x6 embossing folder ( Die'sire Embossalicious Lattice) I love this size folder! Finally the lattice embossing has been blinged up with little silver gems and congratulations is a rub on.

Please pop on over to BBTB2 and see the beautiful wedding creations from the Design Team they are truly gorgeous and we would love you to join us in our challenge and don't forget you can use any Cricut cartridge!

Hi
This week's challenge over at BBTB2 has been chosen by our lovely DT sister Caroline who asked us to create a card for a new arrival as she is shortly to become a grandma again. Congratulations Caroline!

I couldn't resist this cute baby elephant from the MS Birthday Cake Art cartridge!  My cuts are done at 5 3/4" and I welded 2 shadow cuts together using Cricut Design Studio to make a shaped card and also cut a separate shadow on its own to add to the front of the card (all cut using white cardstock). For my base cut I used Pink and white polka dot paper from a MAMBI stack and the white dots are flock so it feels lovely and soft to touch. Welcome baby girl is a cuttlebug die and before pop dotting the base cut to the card I added a pink dummy (pacifier) to her trunk tied with some black ribbon and a googly eye.

Pop over to BBTB2 and see the wonderful new baby projects the DT have created this week and jpin in our challenge!

BBTB2 'EGG-CEPTIONAL' EASTER EGGS

Hi
This week's challenge over at BBTB2 has been set by our lovely leader Susan. Susan asked us to use an egg from any cricut cartridge to create a project.

For my project I made this cute little easter basket which I filled with mini eggs although after photographing it my son and I tucked in so now it's empty lol!

I used the following cartridges:
Eggs are from Straight from the Nest egg border cut base cut and layer cut at 1"
Easter cut from Designers Calender at 1"
Basket from Spring Cottage cut at & 7 1/4"

After adhering my basket together I decided to weave some lemon and lime stripey ribbon through as there are slits already  cut  for this basket, added the easter cut and pop dotted the base border and layers of eggs before attatching them around the edges of my basket.  Finally I added some pink tuille inside the basket like a little nest to lay the eggs on.

Please pop over to BBTB2 and see the gorgeous projects created by the Design team this week and please join in with us, you can use any egg from any cartridge!

Thanks so  much for visiting

BBTB2 AMETHYST CUPCAKE CHALLENGE

Hi

It's Monday and time for the BBTB2 challenge and this week our lovely Stephanie has chosen the challenge for us. As the birthstone for February is Amethyst Stephanie asked us to create a card/project using a cupcake or birthday cake from any Cricut cartridge and the colour amethyst.

Well I had to go to my scraps box (I'm sure you all have them!) for this one as I didn't have any amrthyst / purple card in my stash! I found some lovely offcuts of Hunky Dory card which is a lilac colour and the same colour as lavender amethyst so decided to go with it! (It looks a bit pink in my photos but is really a lovely lilac colour in real life!) I also found the lovely black and white backing paper in my scrapbox which I had printed off a while ago and had not yet used, it's from a digital download from Pink Petticoat one of my most faves for digital papers.

I made a card using a 6x6" card blank which I covered with the backing paper then added some polkadot paper (also from my scraps and also Pink Petticoat) to break up the card and a strip of the lavender amethyst card which has a silver stripe through it. My cupcake is from Cake Basics cartridge cut at 3 1/2" shadow black base lavender polka dot card and top layer in the lavender stripe. I added some black ribbon trim which has black sequins entwined to the cupcake and a black tuille bow to the side. The greeting is some more of the scrap card layered and pop dotted and celebrate is silver ball sticky letters

Please pop over to BBTB2 and see all the yummy amethyst cakes that my DT sisters have created this week and we'd love to see your gorgeous creations to so hope you will join us in our challenge!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great week!

FONTALICIOUS BBTB2 CHALLENGE

Hi
Sorry I'm a little late with my post this week!
This week over at BBTB2 our DT sister Suzanne chose the theme Fontalicious as the challenge! I love fonts and if you could see my fonts file on my computer you would see that I am a bit of a font junkie!!

I made a card for Connor's dad who will be turning 50 next week.

I have a few favourite cricut fonts namely Don Juan, the font on Wild Card and my new fav Billionaire (it welds together so well!)

My card is 6x6" and I have covered it with a black/white/grey stripey backing paper. 50 is cut using Don Juan cartridge at 5 1 /2" shadow in silver mirricard and base in black card which I have embossed with a dots embossing folder. Foam pads have been used between the numbers for some dimension. I have used the Billionaire Lite cartridge for the letters and welded dad together using Design Studio which has been cut three times using silver mirricard and adhered together to give it a 'chipboard' thickness, the top layer has been embossed with the dots folder also.

Have a look over at BBTB2 and see the 'fontalicious' projects the DT have created this week! We would love to see your creations using any font from any of your cartridges!

Thanks so much for visiting today and keep warm! It's been snowing here in Wales since last Friday!
