Good evening
Well my laptop is back up and running woo hoo so I will be able to get around to visiting my fav blogs again! I lost all my files which is the bad news but the good news is I don't plan on making the same mistake again and will back up regularly!

Anyway just wanted to post an easy card I made for my dad who celebrated his birthday at the end of August. I recently bought the Holiday cakes cart and although this cart is sold as a Cricut Cake cart let me tell you there are some great cuts on there that make quick and easy cards!

My dad recently bought a new car so this card using just the Holiday cakes cart was just the perfect card for him a number plate card!

Secondly I made this card for my dad from Connor my son using Serif Digital Scrapbooking free programme , I've purchased the upgrade which I will load on to my new desktop when I get it as I don't think my ancient desktop will take any more lol! The photo I used in this card is of my dad when he was a Second Officer in his Merchant Navy days.

See you soon have a great weekend all!

Hi Julie, Popped on a little while ago, but had to come back to post a comment. Having another sale, so I'm in between customers. Love your card for you Dad, you are always coming up with awesome creations, and this one is so special too. I know your Dad is going to cherish his card to go along with his new car. Missed our chats, I'm logged onto my chat on blog, will keep checking to see if we can meet up.

Hugz, xx

Glad your computer is back up and running, sorry you lost everything tho. Love the licence plate, such a great idea for a male card. Love the card from Connor too, the background with the photo on it is amazing.

Cool cards Julie! I love the grandpa one with the image as a watermark behind the real image. Very cool effect! The license plate is pretty nifty as well! Awesome cards for dad and his birthday.
