LAYOUT AT THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT! MY FIRST EVER!!

Well hello there everyone
I've been MIA for a couple of weeks! My son Connor has had two weeks solid of GCSE exams so it's been a very stressful time around here!! Today was his last exam and he had such a look of  relief on his face bless him!! As well as that I had my 50th birthday last week arrgggh how did that happen where did those years go I'm only 29 in my head lol!! Well I haven't really celebrated yet, thought I would wait til after Connor's exams so will be celebrating with friends next week!!
So sorry I haven't been bloghopping I will get round to visiting you all over the next couple of days though!
I did do my DT project for the Cuttllebugspot this week and Nilda asked us to do a Layout!! Layout me??? I'm a cardmaker lol and have only ever done a few little 6x6 albums.  Well this was a real challenge for me so be kind if you have a look!
I did a 12x12 using a photo of Connor when he was about 7 and he got to hold this very stern looking Eagle Owl so I thought I would use the phrase Whoo loves you? being from the owl and Connor with a thought bubble saying  I'm not sure. He's looking very dubiosly at the owl!
I cut some mounds for the grass and embossed (cutting small mounds like this made it easier as the A2 cuttlebug folders were able to emboss) and pop dotted 2 layers. The trees were cut with my Cricut as were the letters which have been cut in white and embossed (thought it gave a cloud look!!) and the sun was handcut and embossed.. The owl and little birds in the trees are little charms  and some cute feathers(Iknow they're not owl feathers but the colour matches!)
I used the following supplies for the LO
Papers: DCWV and Anna Griffin for the plain colours and the patterned tree paper is American Crafts  Blue Skies.
Cricut carts: Sesame Street font for white words and Give A Hoot for the trees.
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders: Tiny Bubbles for the lettering, Forest Branches and Spots and Dots for the grass mounds.
Sizzix Embossing Folder: Birthday Set #2 for the  trees
Quickutz Embossing Folder: Polka Dots for the sun
Charms: from my stash
Feathers: Hobbycraft
I hope you'll pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see the fabulous layouts my DT sisters have created and we hope to see yours too! There's another great prize for the winner this week!
Thanks so much for visiting!
