CUTTLEBUGSPOT WEDDING TAG

Good afternoon
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week the theme is all about Tags! Nilda asked us to make tags.
I decided to make a tag for a wedding present, it will suit a large wedding pressie as it.s 7"!
I cut 3 tags from white self embossed card using Tags Bags and Boxes cart with my Cricut, it's the tag with a rounded top(not that you can see the top as it's covered with my huge bow! I embossed one of the tags with CB embossing folder Goochie Script and pop dotted on to a plain tag. I then cut the third tag off at the top and embossed with a wedding cake embossing folder by Sizzix from the Wedding Set of folders and pop dotted on top. I added lots of pearls and crystal gems and some gorgeous pearl trim at the bottom which I bought at Hobbycraft. Finally I tied a huge white bow at the top with this lovely taffeta/satin ribbon which I got at Costco.
I hope you will visit us at the Cuttlebugspot this week and show us your tags and take a look at the gorgeous tags my DT sisters have created. For the winner there is a great prize!
Thanks for popping in today!

BBTB2 RAINBOW CHALLENGE

Good evening
The challenge this week over at BBTB2 is to use the Rainbow cut from Once Upon A Princess Cricut cart.  Since I don't have this cart I used Hello Kitty greetings as there is a cute card cut for a rainbow! I used DS to weld the word Make across the top in shadow using Cutting Up and cut the base as single letters and layered and The A is also from the same cart. I  cut wish in shadow and base using Stamping. The stars are all from George. Lots of layers and pop dotting to this card. The white card used for the base card and the cloud is a lovely embossed card from Hobbycraft. All the glitter papers are DCWV Spring Glitter Mat Stack card (this was my first time cutting glitter card on my Cricut I had to multicut 3 times. I was a bit worried but the DCWV glitter card doesn't shed so it was fine!) and silver mirricard for the outline cut. I wound some wire around a skewer and attached a star to finish off.
Pop over to BBTB2 and see the gorgeous Rainbow projects  the rest of the DT have created this week and we would love you to join in too so we can see your wonderful creations!

SEQUIN FLOWERS THE PLAY DATE CAFE

Good morning
Happy Father's day to all the dad's out there today!
I was recently making this card and when bloghopping spotted that Julie's colour challenge over at The Play Date Cafe this week was the exact same colours I was working with so I am entering it into the challenge, I've never been brave enouigh to date, have you seen the creativeness over there wow!!
Anyway the reason for this card was to send out to Crafty Sue who recently won my little blog candy which included  some stringed sequins and of course I had to buy myself some and decided to create the little flowers in the same way the ribbon flowers I have been seeing have been made by just twirling round and round til you are happy with the size you need!
The card is approx 6x4" black card base. The paper is printed on card from Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir CD . I cut the stems by hand and added a black bow to finish off. Sequins and ribbon are from Hobbycraft.
Have a great Sunday everyone I'm off to see my dad for Father's day then taking Connor and his friend Jack go-karting!!

LAYOUT AT THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT! MY FIRST EVER!!

Well hello there everyone
I've been MIA for a couple of weeks! My son Connor has had two weeks solid of GCSE exams so it's been a very stressful time around here!! Today was his last exam and he had such a look of  relief on his face bless him!! As well as that I had my 50th birthday last week arrgggh how did that happen where did those years go I'm only 29 in my head lol!! Well I haven't really celebrated yet, thought I would wait til after Connor's exams so will be celebrating with friends next week!!
So sorry I haven't been bloghopping I will get round to visiting you all over the next couple of days though!
I did do my DT project for the Cuttllebugspot this week and Nilda asked us to do a Layout!! Layout me??? I'm a cardmaker lol and have only ever done a few little 6x6 albums.  Well this was a real challenge for me so be kind if you have a look!
I did a 12x12 using a photo of Connor when he was about 7 and he got to hold this very stern looking Eagle Owl so I thought I would use the phrase Whoo loves you? being from the owl and Connor with a thought bubble saying  I'm not sure. He's looking very dubiosly at the owl!
I cut some mounds for the grass and embossed (cutting small mounds like this made it easier as the A2 cuttlebug folders were able to emboss) and pop dotted 2 layers. The trees were cut with my Cricut as were the letters which have been cut in white and embossed (thought it gave a cloud look!!) and the sun was handcut and embossed.. The owl and little birds in the trees are little charms  and some cute feathers(Iknow they're not owl feathers but the colour matches!)
I used the following supplies for the LO
Papers: DCWV and Anna Griffin for the plain colours and the patterned tree paper is American Crafts  Blue Skies.
Cricut carts: Sesame Street font for white words and Give A Hoot for the trees.
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders: Tiny Bubbles for the lettering, Forest Branches and Spots and Dots for the grass mounds.
Sizzix Embossing Folder: Birthday Set #2 for the  trees
Quickutz Embossing Folder: Polka Dots for the sun
Charms: from my stash
Feathers: Hobbycraft
I hope you'll pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see the fabulous layouts my DT sisters have created and we hope to see yours too! There's another great prize for the winner this week!
Thanks so much for visiting!

CUTTLEBUGSPOT DAD'S AND GRADS CHALLENGE

Good evening
Well the Cuttlebugspot is back after a well earned rest and Nilda asked us to use Dad's and Grad's for our theme this week. I chose to go with Dad's as Fathers day will soon be here 20th June so I made this card for my dad.
My card is very simple in white and blue. The base card in white is A5 in size (8 1/2x11" folded in half). The frame is from Life Is A Beach Cricut cart and is the yacht frame which also cuts a yacht to layer over the yacht in the corner of the frame. I cut it twice as I wanted to layer two yachts for extra dimension. Theseagulls are cut from the same cartridge and the sun is from Accent Essentials cart. The blue backing paper is DCWV and I embossed the frame with a Cuttlebug folder from an Oh My Crafts exlusive set called Shapes. The sun is embossed with a quickutz folder and finally a computer generated font.
I hope you will visit the Cuttlebugspot and see the fabulous cards the rest of the DT have created this week and of course we would love to see your dad or grad creations and for the winner this week there is a fab prize, a $20 gift certificate from Custom Crops!
Thanks for looking
