'CHRISTMAS' PEGGY LOVES VINTAGE

Good morning
Well just got my son off to school, he's in the middle of his mock GCSE's so a very stressful time for him (and me lol!) at the mo! The good news is that they will be finished at the end of the week so he gets an extra week off school for the holidays!
Anyway today I have a card to show you that I made using one of the wonderful vintange images from Peggy loves Vintage. For those of you that don't know Peggy she has the most beautiful vintage images collections which you can purchase in CD form or as downloads in 'cut out' collections of 6 images and I have to tell you the quality of the images is superb.
My card today is really simple as the image is so fabulous I didn't need to do much else!
The base card is red mirrisilk card and has been embossed with my CB 5x7 folder from the Oh My Crafts Christmas exclusive set (my new fav folder at the moment!)I scored a line down so I had a little border edge and added some gold ribbon from Costco and layered on some red rouched ribbon with sequins running through it from Hobbycraft. The adorable image which is from 'cut out' collection 'Angels 3' and printed on to photo pearl card and pop dotted and matted on to gold mirricard. I then added a gold christmas peel off to the image and called it done!
I so love this image, it reminded me of when my son Connor was little and was one of the 3 Kings in his school Nativity play aah memories of precious times they grow up so fast!
I have photographed the card and also a close up of the image so you can see the wonderful quality of these images. Pop over to Peggy's etsy site as she has the most wonderful collections to suit almost any occasion!
Thanks for looking!

CHRISTMAS TISSUE BOX COVER. CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good morning
Where is the time going??!! 7th December already I usually have my tree up by now but it's still in the box! Must get busy with it this week!
To get me in the Christmas spirit Nilda over at the Cuttlebugspot set us a challenge this week to make Christmas bags or boxes for giving Christmas gifts. Well I made a box sort of, it's a tissue box cover so it's like a box and a little gift in one!
I got the template from a CD called Glamour Puss from Cameo Crafts. This Cd has some great templates to print and cut. I handcut the box and embossed with CB 5x7 folder from the OH My Crafts Christmas exclusives, I love being able to emboss larger areas with the larger folders. I then cut 4x 2 1/2" squares in shadow and base with my Cricut and Plantin School cartridge. I used the CB cut and emboss snowflake and dove both cut twice and pop dotted on to the squares then added to the box. I added some irridescent tinsel around the top and adhered irridescent sequins on the dove and snowflake and also on the embossed areas of the box where the berries are on the leaves. Just pop the box over a square box of tissues and voila a nice little Christmas gift!
I took the box round to my mum's yesterday as a little gift for her and she loved it!
Don't forget to pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see the fabulous bags and boxes the DT have created this week and we would love to see yours! There's a prize for the winner too a £15 voucher for the Craftbarn!
Have a great week everyone!

POLKA DOT SANTA! LILY-BOOTOO DECEMBER CHALLENGE

Good afternoon
Over at Lily-BooToo this month the challenge is paper piecing somewhere on your image.
I've never done any paper piecing and was surprised how easy this was and far more fun for me than colouring as I'm so not good at the colouring lol! I will definitely try this again!
My card is A4 folded in half to make an A5 landscape card and the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat snowflakes download. The image is from Lily-Boos Christmas rectangles collection and I chose this jolly Santa! I paper pieced his suit in red and white polka dot (well they could be his jammies!) and the sky with snowy paper. These papers are from this years Pink Petticoat Christmas dvd Fairy Lights. I added Polar White Flowersoft to his beard and trim and a white pom pom to his hat. The rest is coloured with Promarkers. I then mounted on to black and then red mirri silk(it is red but looks orange in the photo! believe me it matches the ribbon perfectly!!)
Ribbon is from Costco and some red gems from my stash to finish off.
Hope you can join us at Lily-Bootoo this month we'd love to see your paper piecing projects!
Thanks as always for looking and hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

WINTER WONDERLAND. CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good morning
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make a Winter Wonderland creation.
Now I've been wanting to try a technique for a while of cutting a word in the same paper as a scene and layering it exactly over the scene. I expect that sounds as clear as mud lol!
Anyway here is what I did:
The snowy scene was changed to black and white on my computer and printed twice in the same size. I used Winter Woodland Cricut cart to cut the word winter (at 2 1/2")from one of the snowy scenes and the other was used as the background. Also I cut the word in shadow in silver mirri layered and added in the exact place over the scene. Does it make sense now lol I'm not very good at explaining! Winter has been cuttled with CB snowflakes folder. I cut wnderland from the same cart at 1 1/2". Deer 1 and 2 are cut from Christmas Solutions cart @ 2 1/2" and 3" as well as the harnesses in silver mirri and some tiny red crystals added. I cut a piece from the scene and cuttled with another snowflake cb folder and added so the first deer didn't look like he was floating!
My scene is then mounted on to a silver mirri card which I gave a spine too and embossed the spine with 5x7 cb folder which is from Oh My Crafts exclusive Christmas bundle. Finally some white devoray ribbon added to the spine.
This card looks so much better in real life, mirri is so hard to photgraph!!
Pop over and join us in the challenge this week we'd love to see your creations!
Thanks for looking and have a lovely week everyone!

CUPCAKE BIRTHDAY FOR STACEY!

Good morning
My friend Stacey loves everything cupcake so I made her this cupcake card with her name on for her Birthday which was yesterday.
I made the card using Cricut design Studio by welding 2 cupcakes from Doodlecharms cart together for the card base and the letters are welded from Don Juan cart. The layers are then added with pop dots for dimension and for the papers I used Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir download. The cupcake topping has been cuttled with Divine Swirls CB folder. I then added pearls and rub ons from my stash.
Thanks for looking!
Hope you had a fabulous Birthday Stacey!

MERRY CHRISTMAS. LILY-BOO GINGERBREADS

Good evening
Well it hasn't stopped raining here all week but at least we have been spared the awful floods that have been happening in the UK. My heart goes out to all those people whose homes have been flooded.
It seems ages since I have blogged I think my mojo is a bit tired lately lol, as well as trying to get the Christmas shopping done and helping Connor revise and get ready for his mock GCSE's it's a busy time!
Anyway I do have a card for today and it's made with an image from the new Lily-Boo Gingerbreads collection which has just been released over at Lily-Boos. A fab collection of 6 cute Gingerbreads for £1.99
I chose the little girl ginger so of course I could use pink!! She is lightly coloured with chalks and her present is coloured with promarkers. I added some glossy accents but they don't show well in the photo. The papers are Papermania Rose Tinted Christmas Stack and the sentiment is computer generated
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

The backing paper is from Funky Seasons CD Autumn and the sentiment is computer generated.

THANKS A MELON CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good morning everyone
Well winter is upon us in Wales there was ice on the cars early this morning when I was seeing Connor off to school. Time to break out the scarf and gloves I think! Hope everyone is keeping warm :)
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make a card using fruits. I decided to use a melon and using a fab download from Pink Petticoat here is my card.
All papers are Pink Petticoat download. The card is 6x6" and the scalloped mat is one of my new Nellie's dies which I love as it matches the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch which I used for the middle strip so well. The white panel in the centre has been cuttled with a stripey CB embossiing folder which I just got and is part of the shapes folders set which is exclusive to 'Oh My Crafts'. I cut the melon 3 times, pop dotted it twice then for the 3rd layer I just cut out the edge of the melon and cuttled again with the same folder, I used my Sakura clear glaze pen to glaze the seeds of the melon and added some pink ribbon from Hobbycraft. The sentimet is computer generated font is Curlz mt.
Thanks as always for taking a peek and be sure to visit the Cuttlebugspot and check out the DT's fabulous creations and why not join us for a chance to win a £15 voucher from the Craftbarn!
Have a great week!

THANKSGIVING CARD .THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good evening
Here is my DT card for the Cuttlebugspot this week, Nilda asked us to make Thanksgiving creations this week and this was a first for me!
I gave my card a vintage theme with a cute little vintage Thanksgiving postcard,
The card is 6x6" and the papers are from Costco. The buttons and string are all from my stash and I used the CB pumpkin embossing folder and the embossing at the bottom of the card is one of the new 5x7" CB folders 'Holly Ribbons'. These folders are great for embossing on larger cards I hope Provcraft will do more of this size in future.
Don't forget to pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and check out the beautiful creations the DT have made, we would love you to join in and there is a prize for the winner too!

LILY-BOOTOO PURPLE CHALLENGE

Hello everyone
It seems like I've been away forever! After three weeks of flu, then my internet breaking down for a week I'm back!
I hope everyone is fine and that you all had a great Halloween. We had so many Trick or Treaters this year, good job I got plenty of chocolate in to give them!
After getting my internet fixed I'm slowly catching up with all your wonderful creations you've all been making, I've really missed being able to bloghop!
Over at Lily-Bootoo Sam and Lou set us a challenge to make a card using purple and a Lily-Boo image. I chose the presents from the Christmas Corners image set which I printed on to the back of purple pearlescent card. I changed the outline of the image to purple with my computer software and cloured with a lavender Promarker, adding diamond dust glitter and tons of gems. All the dots are done by hand with a white Signo pen and lavender Promarker and I cut around the presents. Sentiment is computer generated, font Castellar and LD Elegance.

'TWEET ' BIRTHDAY WISHES CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good evening
Well I've had an icky flu bug all week so apologies for not getting around to commenting on all your lovely creations will try and catch up this week still feeling icky but starting to feel more myself!
I am late posting my project this week as when I sent it to Nilda it seems to have got lost in cyberspace but it's got there now!
This week over at the Cuttlebugspot Nilda asked us to make a project using monochramatic colours ie different tones of one colour.
I made a card and a little box to hold some sweets.
The card is 6x6 and all the papers are from Pink Petticoat. I printed the papers pink first then overprinted with the pink patterned designs. I cut the little birdhouse and birdie with my QK revolution die 'bird' which I recently purchased from the Scrapping Cottage and layered on a mat using my new Nellie's die cuts ( these are like nesties and I got them at a Craft fair a couple of weeks ago and I love them!) the 'pink sun in the cornere is a Nellies also, you can see more at www.nellies-choice.com. I used pink Prima say it in pearls for embellishing and some hearts and pink gem from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated in pink (font Cheri) and everything pop dotted and inked.
The little birdbox was handcut using a template designed by Nichole Heady on behalf of Papertry ink But I improvised with the roof as I didn't have the nesties she used! All the embossing is done with CB Swiss Dots folder.
Hope you like my project this week, the rest of the DT have created the most beautiful projects, be sure to visit and we'd love you to join in!
Have a great week everyone!

BAUBLE CARD

Woohoo two posts in one day!
Over at Lily-Boo Sam Has drawn the most fabulous bauble collection which is on sale now for £1.99 for a collection of 6 baubles! They are so versatile!
I decided to make a bauble shaped card using the Merry Christmas bauble. First I handcut a bauble card in gold mirri using my printed acetate bauble as a template. having printed the design on to inkjet acetate I painted on red stickles from the back. Can I tell you that they took and age to dry and I had to resort to putting it in the fridge for hours to dry! LOL!. I adhered it at the top where it would be covered in ribbon so would not show then added some red satin ribbon, some wired gold and some gold beading and I was done! This card was so hard to photograph as you can see lol!
That's all for today be back soon!

For the base layer I used a free download called Pretty in Pink from Pink Petticoat which has been pop dotted on to the card. I covered this with little pearls and added the sentiment HOPE (also from the free Pink Petticoat download) added a pink heart for the 'O' cuttled with the tiny hearts CB folder and mounted on to a pink flower.
Thanks for looking today, we would love for you to join us in the challenge this month to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Care

HAPPY WORLD CARDMAKING DAY!

click the pictures for a larger view

Hi
Well today is World Cardmaking Day and I can't show what I have been making today as they are DT cards not scheduled til tomorrow and Monday. I was going to sneak preview one but my stickles are being very stubborn and won't dry on the acetate! I hope they dry by tomorrow morning!
So I'm going to post two cards done on the computer that I made this week.
The one with the whisky glass was made for Graham who enjoys a glass of whisky, I added his name in the whisky glass some border and it was done. The other is a birthday card for my dear Auntie Gwynnie and is an old photo of her when she was a little girl with her family which I antiqued then colourized her dress and hairband pink so she stands out in the card. added some borders and a couple of flowers.
Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend and creating lots of cards!

'AUTUMN' CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good evening
Well I've finally given in and put the central heating on tonight it's getting chilly I think we're getting into Autumn now!
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make a card/project which featured an Autumn/Fall feel. Well I've never made an Autumn card before so this was a challenge in itself!
All the papers are from a huge pack of papers from CostCo (which I received as a Christmas pressie last Christmas!) and I thought were just the right colours. I used a 6x6" card and covered with the papers and separated with a panel across the middle of gold mirricard matted with some more of the paper which I cuttled with CB folder Victoria. I then cut the leaves using my Cricut and Mickey and Friends cart. The ,
leaves are icon cut on Chip. I cut on border feature @2 1/2 in shift and base and a couple of extra leaves, pop dotted and swirled some gold wire ribbon in and out. The gold glitter letters are Making Memories.
We would love you to join in with us this week and there's a prize for the winner so please check us out and have a look at the beautiful projects the rest of the DT came up with!
Have a lovely week!

WAKE UP CAT!! IT'S TIME TO GET HAUNTING!

Good afternoon
hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
I made this card using another of the images from the fab Halloween collection download from Lily-Boos Boutique. When I saw this image I could imagine the cat falling asleep and being late to go a haunting with the witchy woo on her broom! So this is what I came up with, the witch flying past the window shouting at the cat to wake up!
The card is A4 folded in half and the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat Halloween collection CD. The window frame is a cut from cricut Christmas Solutions cart and the witch is from A Child's Year cart. I adhered some acetate behind the window and 'stained glassed' the top panes using peel offs and permanent markers. The blind is paper from an old DCWV paper pad and I used Fiskars Apron lace punch. The image is coloured with Promarkers and the little Pumpkin is from Hobbycraft. Lots of pop dotting and sentiment is computer generated.
Hope this card makes you smile I had fun making it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 'MISS P'!

Hi all
My mother in law asked me to make a card for her eldest granddaughter Hannah. Hannah and her grandad have always had a name for each other, he calls her Miss P (Miss Perfect) and she calls him Mr P
The card was to be pink and girly with bling,
This is what I made
6x6" card base covered from my new fav paper which is MAMBI Speciality cardstock stack Baby Girl (there are some baby papers but lots of them can be used for general use) houndstooth pink and white and it's flocked. I love it!. I made the Miss P in design Studio using Hello Kitty Font Cart for Miss and the P is from Storybook cart welded, shadow cut in black and base cut again from the Mambi paperstack in fine pink and white stripe pop dotted. The sentiment is computer generated font Antsypants (which is identical to HK font!) in pink and popdot matted on black. Finally lots of Prima say it in crystals. WELCOME BABY GIRL CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good morning
Well another week I don't know where this year is going!
This week over at the Cuttlebug spot we are celebrating our 1 year anniversary!! To celebrate there is a prize on offer every day this week!!!! So be sure to visit daily as Nilda will be posting daily and the rules will be different each day as to what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning!
This week Nilda asked us to revisit the very first challenge set at the Cuttlebugspot which was to ink your Cuttlebug folders. I wasn't on the DT then so this was my first go at inking the folders but I love the effect and will definitely be using this technique again!
My card is a very simple one this week as my mojo has gone off to hide somewhere! I hope it comes back soon!
I used a 5x5 pink pearlescent card and cut 3 square mats 3", 2 3/4" and 2 1/2" in white and pink pearlescent card which I embossed with QK folder Stripes label. the little duckling is from New Arrivals Cricut Cart and cut at 2 1/2" on shadow and base in white pearlescent card. The base layer is then embossed with CB folder Spots and Dots which I inked up with a Brilliance pearlescent pink ink. The sentiment is cut in white fun foam which I love as it looks like miniature Thickers using the cutting pad from the CB A2 Welcome Baby set. A couple of crystals for the Eye and iand some organza ribbon.
Be sure to visit the Cuttlebugspot as my DT sisters have made some fabulous cards using this technique and be sure to enter our daily competition this week too!
Have a great week everyone!

HUBBLE BUBBLE , TOIL AND TROUBLE!

Good evening
Here is a card I made today using another printable stamped image from the Halloween collection available at Lily-Boos Boutique. They are so versatile and you can print in any size.
I printed the image directly onto a 6x6" card and computer generated the Hubble Bubble sentiment coming out of the cauldron. The cute little witch image is coloured with Promarkers and chalks. I added some black and purple ric rac from my stash and some matching Petaloo flowers. I cut another hat and frog and pop dotted them, oh and I hand drew a spiders web (not very well lol!) as I thought the top corner looked a bit bare!

GOODIES FOR SANTA! CONFETTI PROJECT CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Click on the pictures to get a better view of the new CB embossing folders

Good Morning
Well it's back to work for me today! Mind you i didn't get any crafting done on my week off as settling Connor back in school and it's been a bit stressful I can tell you!
I did manage to get my DT project done for the Cuttlbugspot though!
Aymee on the DT set the challenge this week and Nilda asked us to use embossed confetti in our projects. That is to emboss some paper/card using a Cb folder cut into strips and use as confetti within a project.
Well I really had to put my thinking cap on for this!! and this is what I made.
I used the popcorn box cut from Tags Bags cricut cart and in design studio gave the box 3 oval windows which i put acetate behind and embossed the acetate with one of the new UK exclusive CB folders snowflakes. I cut 3 sizzlet snowflakes to put in the centre of the windows and some little cuttlebug snowflakes in gold and some red gems. I made a matching little sleeve to hold Santa's milk. The tags are computer generated font is LD Saloon in red on white card cuttled again with the snowflakes folder then matted onto green card. I cuttled some red and green patterned card with another of the Uk exclusive folders this one is called Ice Crystal. Before cuttling it I computer generated some messages for Santa in red and green (font LDJ Miss me) then cut in strips and concertina'd to go on top of the choc chip cookies for Santa! All the card used is from DCWV Christmass glitter stack. Just made a couple of bows and added to the tags.
After photographing these I drank the milk and me and Connor shared the cookies Yum yum!
I wish Connor was still little he would have loved leaving these little messages for Santa on Christmas Eve with his milk and cookies!
I hope you will join us at the Cuttlebugspot this week and don't forget to check out the DT's creations they are fab! There's a great prize for the winner too!
Have a great week everyone!
