WINTER WONDERLAND. CUTTLEBUGSPOT

Good morning
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make a Winter Wonderland creation.
Now I've been wanting to try a technique for a while of cutting a word in the same paper as a scene and layering it exactly over the scene. I expect that sounds as clear as mud lol!
Anyway here is what I did:
The snowy scene was changed to black and white on my computer and printed twice in the same size. I used Winter Woodland Cricut cart to cut the word winter (at 2 1/2")from one of the snowy scenes and the other was used as the background. Also I cut the word in shadow in silver mirri layered and added in the exact place over the scene. Does it make sense now lol I'm not very good at explaining! Winter has been cuttled with CB snowflakes folder. I cut wnderland from the same cart at 1 1/2". Deer 1 and 2 are cut from Christmas Solutions cart @ 2 1/2" and 3" as well as the harnesses in silver mirri and some tiny red crystals added. I cut a piece from the scene and cuttled with another snowflake cb folder and added so the first deer didn't look like he was floating!
My scene is then mounted on to a silver mirri card which I gave a spine too and embossed the spine with 5x7 cb folder which is from Oh My Crafts exclusive Christmas bundle. Finally some white devoray ribbon added to the spine.
This card looks so much better in real life, mirri is so hard to photgraph!!
Pop over and join us in the challenge this week we'd love to see your creations!
Thanks for looking and have a lovely week everyone!

Your card is beautiful! I saw it on Cuttlebug Spot and had to take a look. I love your technique. It really adds a lot to the scene. I'm assuming that this is digi paper since you turned it b&w on your computer. I would love to know where you got it. Thanks so much!

Blessings,
Christine
