BAUBLE CARD

Woohoo two posts in one day!
Over at Lily-Boo Sam Has drawn the most fabulous bauble collection which is on sale now for £1.99 for a collection of 6 baubles! They are so versatile!
I decided to make a bauble shaped card using the Merry Christmas bauble. First I handcut a bauble card in gold mirri using my printed acetate bauble as a template. having printed the design on to inkjet acetate I painted on red stickles from the back. Can I tell you that they took and age to dry and I had to resort to putting it in the fridge for hours to dry! LOL!. I adhered it at the top where it would be covered in ribbon so would not show then added some red satin ribbon, some wired gold and some gold beading and I was done! This card was so hard to photograph as you can see lol!
That's all for today be back soon!

Stunning Julie! Looks like a real bauble. Have heard a lot of people say just lately about stickles taking ages to dry on acetate. Like the fridge idea.

OMG Julie this is stunning. Ir really takes on a 3D look. Thanks for the tip about the fridge, I never knew that! By the way, thanks for all the sweet comments on my blog...You asked how do I recolor Regina's stamps...well I don't know anything about PDF files so I copy it to Microsoft Word and re size and re color it from there. I know it is a round about way but when you are as computer illiterate as me you do what makes it work for you...LOL!

Oh my, Julie! What lengths we must go to in order to get those pesky stickles to cooperate! Worth the extra step... the card is absolutely gorgeous!
