18TH BIRTHDAY CARD

Good evening
I've not been on here much this week caught a nasty bug that went on my chest and wore me out a bit! Anyway I am starting to feel a bit better now well I must be as I made 2 cards one last night which was so late and out of necessity as it was my nephew's 18th Birthday yesterday and I didn't deliver his card and pressie til about 8pm last night! Bad auntie! I was just glad that I managed to get it done! Luckily it being a male card it was quite straight forward ha says she who struggles with male cards! but as it was an 18th easy with the number 18 and Daniel's name on it.
Then this morning I finished my card for the cuttlebugspot DT which I had started nearly a week ago before I became ill! I'm feeling tired tonight probably doing too much again too soon lol but you know what it's like us women just have to carry on regardless lol! I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things over the next few days and do some cards with the fab Lily Boo images.
Anyway for Daniel's card I used a 6x6" square card base with my fav birthday paper of the moment from Papermania the big one which I scanned to change to black and white. the number 18 from Don Juan Cart is cut at 5 1/4" on normal in black and shadow in silver and Daniel was done with design studio and Wildcard Cart and cut 3 times to get a 'Thicker' look.
Nice quick and easy card and I think I will be using this design for many special birthdays in future as it's so quick to do!
Thanks for looking!

WEDDING CARD

Good morning
Hope everyone is well on this sunny Tuesday morning. I've got a really bad cold/cough sore throat so have been feeling sorry for myself! Anyway enough about that I'll soon be better!
A friend asked me to make a wedding card for her brother who is soon to be married the only details were colours of bridesmaid purple and the bride loves butterflies!
This is quite a plain card as I do like less is more especially when doing requested cards
The card is an A5 white card. I cut a square from Plantin school at 3 1/2" in white and in purply pink mirri silk card on shadow. The weddding cake is from Cutting Up cart cut at 2 3/4" in white and in purply pink mirri silk card on shadow. I also punched out 3 teeny tiny butterflies in the mirri silk. The white square is embossed with a cuttlebug textile folder and the cake is embossed with the folder that comes with the baby set, I like the bigger dots on this one)All the layers are popped on 3d foam. I also added 2 rows of square crystals that look a little wonky when photographed this close! The sentiment is computer generated, font LD fancy fare I think :) Excuse the colours in the photo the nearest is the top photo, don't you find the camera plays tricks on you when photographing metallic card and paper or it could just be my bad photography skills lol!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BANNER CARD

Good Morning
I hope the sun is shining for you today! It certainly is here which is very unusual for a Bank Holiday weekend!
The challenge on the UK thread on the cricut MB this week was to use triangles on your card!
I decided to make a banner card and use the banner/bunting cut from Celebrations Cartridge. From memory I think I cut it at 1 3/4" on normal and shadow 5 times. The card base is an A4 card(8 1/2"x11") folded in half lengthways. All papers, letters, ribbon and ric rac used is Making Memories Bella collection. The cute little polka dot buttons are from a site I just discovered www.bloomingfelt.co.uk and you can buy these buttons at £1 for 20 in a number of different colours and also in gingham. They're gorgeous and great customer service and quick delivery too!
Thanks for looking and have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!

THANK YOU CARD USING FREEBIE IMAGE FROM http://lily-boosboutique.blogspot.com

Good evening everyone
Sam at Lilyboos boutique has very kindly put a gorgeous freebie image on her site. Please visit her blog HERE as she is a wonderful artist and has some fabulous images.
On the Uk crafters thread this week we had a challenge to use one of Sam's images. I chose the freebie image as it was so pretty. The image is in B&W but I changed it to black and pink (pink being my fave colour!). I printed the image out on card then three times on acetate and cut out the little butterfly and popped it on top of the image and at the bottom of the card. I also added some gems and satin ribbon. The striped paper and the spotty card for the frame is printed from a Pink Petticoat CD and the thanks is a cuttlebug die which I cut 3 times in black card and glued together for extra thickness.
Thanks for looking
Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend!

I will update this post later with details but have to get off to work now.
Don't forget to visit The Cuttlebugspot and see the gorgeous cards the DT have come up with!

NAME CARD FOR A PROPERTY DEVELOPER!

Good morning!
At the risk of boring you all I have another name card to post! My friend asked me to make a card for her partner who is a property developer. She wanted a name card and asked if I could put some houses somewhere on the card. Mmmm...... Well I found this fab house cut on Don juan cart that looked just like an A and as his name is Adrian that meant I could put 2 houses in his name! All letters and houses cut at 2" and in shadow with Don Juan (my new fav font cart!) I kept this card B&W as the UK crafters thread on the cricut MB had a challenge for B&W though I did use some silver. The backing paper was not black so I scanned it into my computer and changed it to B&W. The 'smoke' from the chimneys are some luxury bauble hangers I bought a while ago.
Have a great weekend everyone!

We're nearly at the weekend and today is my day off so hope to make some cards later! I made these two easy name Birthday cards for my cousin's twins Hannah and Ethan. You probably can't see from the photos but I have pop dotted every alternate letter.

MEET TILLY TORTOISE!

Good Afternoon
Hope you're all well and having a lovely day.
My friend Christine has a Birthday today and has a pet tortoise so I decided to make her a simple little tortoise card!
I decided to call this little tortoise Tilly and she was cut from Cricut cart Walk In My Garden (which my wonderful friend Lillie Rak'd to me last year!} @2 1/2" on blackout and shift. I used a 6x6" white card as the base and the pink card is Bazzill Romance and is a gorgeous shade of pink (just ordered some more!)I printed the stripes and spots for top and bottom of the card from my Pink Petticoat CD's as well as the black and white polka dot for the shell which was printed on to white card. The scallop cut one in pink and one in black is from Plantin School cartidge at 1" and layered. The Happy birthday is computer generated font is Girls are Weird and layered on pink and black with a little polka dot flower. The rest of the flower was used for Tilly's hat and some pink braid added.
Happy Birthday Chris Hope you like the card!
