BUTTERFLY BIRTHDAY!

Good evening

It's my mum's Birthday on Wednesday and she is one special lady as I'm sure all your mum's are to you! Mum loves butterflies so I made her this card.
I used Cricut and Happily Ever After cartridge the butterfly cut. I welded the wings to make a shaped card in Cricut Design Studio using the cut at 8". I used cream pearlesect card for the base and also cut 2 layers which is also cream pearlescent and I printed the pattern on the card using Pink Petticoat CD (love these papers!!) Lola's Boudoir Rainbow Collection papers. The layers are then adhered to the card. Loads of pearls and crystal added and for the text I used peeloffs for the MUM and the happy birthdays. I know my mum will love it! Happy Birthday Mum!!
PS Mum won't see this before the 2nd July because she doesn't know how to use a computer!
PPS Do you like my background courtesy of the leylandi trees in my garden!! trying to be artistic ha ha!

TOVA'S CLUTCH BAG CARD!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening

There seems to be handbag and shoe fever on the Cricut card forum at the moment! Lots of cards being posted so I thought I would add to the collection!!

I got the idea from a Tova clutch bag I recently received when I ordered some of her perfume (which I love!) and the fact that I found this lovely metal butterfly in my stash. The bag couldn't have been easier just printed black a photo glossy card and hand cut the bag shape. Cut a thin piece of silver mirricard and adhered along the top and over the edge of the card. Then cut a small rectangle for the clasp and rounded the edges and adhered the butterfly on top (also added some crystals to the butterfly). Sentiment computer generated on silver inkjet paper. Voila a clutch bag card in an instant!

VERY PLAIN BLACK AND WHITE & CRYSTAL

Hi Everyone

My friend asked me to make a very plain card and as I seem to be into black and white at the moment this is it!
I used my fav Cuttlebug embossing folder at the moment the Candles! along with an old fav the Swiss dots folder. I did some computer generated circular text for the greeting (font Lucida calligraphy) also outside the greeting a circle of full stops!. I matted onto a black scalloped circle cut with Cricut and cartridge Mini Monograms at 21/4". I added crystal gems around the scallops then pop dotted onto some black/white polka dot grosgrain ribbon. Lastly I used crystal gems on one of the candles. Very plain, very simple and very easy!

Word of WARNING!! When embossing I used my Big shot machine and as the folder is quite 'tight' going through the roller as it came through the other side the handle wacked back and really hit the inside of my wrist! OUCH!! I am now sporting a very nice bruise! lol! Moral of this story hold on tight to your handle!!

Thanks for looking!

HANDBAGS BIRTHDAY CARD

Good evening

My friends daughter will be 17 tomorrow, she loves Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant and all the films from that era. I made this card hoping it gives an impression of a chic handbag shop from that era!

I used my Cricut as you will see I do for most of my cards now. A white 6x6 card. I cut a base of black bags using Mickey and Friends Daisys bag in border function at 21/2" then cut another 3 copies using patterned card which was printed from my Pink Petticoat CD Daisy Daisy paper collection. I cut one bag from each of the patterned papers and trimmed off the handle and layered on top of black base of bags. Pop dotted onto the card The scallop edge is printed on card from the same Cd and the cut is from Plantin School at 1" The black strip across the bottom of the card is self adhesive velvet paper (feels lovely!). Lots of red gems and a red flower sequin from my stash. Text is computer generated Gigi font. Thanks for lookin I hope she likes it!

DUFEX FAERIE POPPETS

Hello all

Just been over to the Cricut messageboard and Kazz a messageboard friend posted a lovely dufex decoupage card, it reminded me that I had some somewher in my stash so I hunted them out (oh how I wish I had a craft room where I could keep everything in one place!)

Anyway thought I would make one of the faerie decoupages and this is the result. They are so shiny which makes them look so 3D when the are made up. Thought I'd share her with you.

ELLIE'S BIRTHDAY CARD

Close up of cupcakes!

Hello everyone

Hope you're all having a good weekend
This is a card for my friend's little girl Ellie who is just turning 2. As you know I love the cupcakes! I welded two cupcake borders together using DS and Doodlecharms cartridge ( Cricut). I used white textured card for all of this card and printed the patterns from Pink Petticoat CD Daisy Daisy paper collection. I had the ribbon and the bling in my stash. The cake border is pop dotted on top of the ribbon and 3 of the cake layers pop dotted and the other 3 glued flat alternately. The text is computer generated using 'cheri' ' font. Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

I've been tagged by Michelle! Michelle is the lovely lady who I owe a big thank you to for helping me set up my blog! You can visit Michelle's wonderful blog at http://bcr8iv.blogspot.com
The rules of the game: Each player answers the questions themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you've posted your answers.

TEN YEARS AGO
I was working for Barclays Bank (got made redundant last year after 31 years and am currently taking a year out!)

I used my cuttlebug butterfly cut and emboss for the first time ( I've had it for months!) bling and inked edges. Thanks for looking I'm off to bed now it's so late!

Just added swiss dots folder at the bottom some spotty lime organza ribbon and a few skittles! 'GRAMPY' FATHER'S DAY CARD

Good afternoon all

I made this one this morning for my son Connor to give to his Grampy for Fathers Day today!

The base cardstock is Kanban black card (81/2 x11" folded lengthways ) with silver fleck throughout and a strip of black cardstock added across the centre. The Grampy letters are cut from silver mirricard with Cricut and Plantin School cartridge on shift roly poly setting then embossed with the Tiny Mosaics Cuttlebug folder. Computer generated font (Raavi) for the sentiment printed on silver inkjet film and mounted on black cardstock. Letters and sentiment then pop dotted using black foam squares (these are great when lifting dark cardstock as they don't show like the white ones!) from Personal Impressions. Thanks for looking!

By the way Grampy loved his card and his camera card which is below this one!!
Oh and please excuse my wonky photography on the first pic!!!

FATHERS DAY PHOTOGRAPHER!

Good Evening

My Dad has loved photography for as long as I remember! I made this camera shaped card using DS and the camera from Going Places cartridge and cut with Cricut. The base card is cut with silver mirri card and the top layer with textured black cardstock and pop dotted on the front. The 'flashbulb' is handcut from rigid ridged vinyl 3 times and glued together. The strap is black leather string knotted and threaded through a silver eyelet. Lastly the 'lens' is computer generated on silver inkjet film with a clear dome epoxy circle over the top. It is easy to create in DS although I had to fiddle round with the top layer a bit! Hope you like it Dad! Happy Fathers Day!!!

A COUPLE OF CARDS DESIGNED ON THE COMPUTER

Good Evening
I needed a couple of man cards and as I've said before I do struggle with them! I always seem to make them on the computer as then they're not frilly!

Anyway the first one is for my Nephew Daniel who is just turning 17 don't really know what he is into so I usually stick to name cards when I am not sure!

The second is for an old friend Charles who likes red wine so I designed a photocard and put text on it!
Both cards are printed on a good weight photo glossy card which doesn't really show in the pictures!

Before cricut I designed a lot of cards on the computer that seems to be getting less these days!

Well I'll be honest with you I'm not making many cards period as I just can't drag myself away from the Cricut Message Board!!!. I'm sure this is true of many of the members!!!!

They are quite plain and simple tfl!!

EXPLODING BOX TO HOLD A PRESENT

Good morning

Its's 1.22am here! I don't expect I'm the only crafter who crafts til the early hours!

Anyway just thought I'd share this box It's a total cheat really the box comes die-cut and is from a company called Redhotbed all you have to do is score fold stick and decorate!

I made this for a friend I used to work with who had a beautiful baby daughter Sophie just before Christmas. I know I know she emailed me photos about a month ago and I've only just got round to making this!

I decorated with some little teddies some gems and tied with ribbon and a lttle pink dummy tied to the ribbon. I only needed 4 photos then computer generated baby Sophie's details.

The box was made to put a little gift of a crystal dummy inside.

Hope you like it I've made a few of these as gift holders and the recipients have loved them.
