BBTB2 SWEETHEARTS -BLESS THIS NEST AND A BLOGHOP!!

Good afternoon
Hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday!
Over at BBTB2 this week we were challenged by the very talented Jeri to use the Bless This Nest cut from Sweethearts cart! We are also having our end of month bloghop more details on that later in the post!
I made this New Home card using the Bless this Nest cut which I welded in Design Studio off the edge of a long rectangle (Plantin School cart) which is my card base, I also welded New Home (Cuttin Up Cart0 at the other side. I cut the words again twice to layer and pop dot. I cut a house and all it's layers (Wildcard Cart) which I added to the centre of my card and added some stitched black narrow ribbon and a Christmas tree metal bauble hanger for the smoke from the chimney! All papers are printed using Pink Petticoat downloads except the grass which is Bo Bunny. Oh and a little black gem for the door handle.
Now back to the important bit lol! This is my first blog hop at BBTB2 and you should have reached me from BBTB2 and after you've been here please visit Jeri and see her fabulous take on this weeks challenge. I have a little blog candy on offer for you so just leave a comment on my blog by midnight on Friday 4th June and I will draw a winner on Saturday 5th June. Here is my little candy and be sure to visit Jeri from here as she may have a little candy too offer as well!

Have a great week everyone!

BBTB2 CHALLENGE FOREVER YOUNG DRESS FORM 'HAUTE COUTURE'

Hi Everyone
It seem like an age since I posted! Things are mega busy around here at the moment Connor has started his GCSE's so we are busy revising such a stressful time for him I remember  it well I hated exams too! I will be glad when he has his last exam on 17th June when we can all relax and I can get back to more crafting too!
Anyway, over at BBTB2 this week we are using Forever Young Cart and the Dressform cut. I love this cart it's so full of fabulous girly cuts!
For my project this week I decided to go with an 'Haute Couture' look to my card. I hope you think I have succeeded!
My card is simple in cream and black with a bit of bling and measures approx 6"x7". Papers are from DCWV All dressed up stack for the stripey 'wallpaper' background. I cut the dressform in black shadow feature and cream base at 5" then base shadow in black for the dress. I cut the top offf of the dress to give a strapless look and embossed with part of the CB folder Flourish Frame. I added some net to the bottom and finished with some silver gems. The chandelier is from Home Decor and the screen is  actually tags from Tags bags and More cart which I stretched in Design studio! I welded 2 long rectangles to the side of  the screnn which have been scored and folded to the back in order that the screen is lifted in the middle from the card. papers for the screen are from Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir collection printed on to cream card. It's hard to see but I added a piece of eyelash fibre hanging over the screen in an attempt to replicate a feathe boa to complete the outfit. Lastly a computer generated sentiment on cream matted on to black and pop dotted.
Please pop over to BBTB2 and see the fabulous projects my DT sisters have created this week and we would love you to join in and see your wondeful creations too!
Have a great week !

BBTB2 PEGGY LOVES VINTAGE AND TAGS, BAGS BOXES AND MORE CHALLENGE. WISH YOU WERE HERE!

Good afternoon
This week over at BBTB2 our challenge is to use a tag from TBBM cartridge along with some gorgeous vintage images from Peggy Loves Vintage.
I decided to use these adorable images of a little boy and girl playing in the sand building sandcastles. So in order to set the scene I wanted some little beach huts in the background and these are actually made with tags from TBBM!
My card is a shadow box card which I designed using DS and Plantin School and it will fold down flat for posting. I printed the two children out twice and cut them out and just cut out the children again to pop dot for a little dimension. I welded five tags together in DS and cut lots of tags in patterned paper which I cut up and inked and adhered  over my welded tags along with some Prima vintage lace. I cut the waves from LAB border feature and the seagulls are also from this cart. Sun is from doodlecharms and finally the sentiment is computer generated , font LDJ Miss Me. The box is quite deep and  all pieces inside are adhered two four tabs at 1/2" spaces so in real life this is really quite 3D although my photography skills don't exactly show this well! The papers are from a Jessica Sprague paper download except for the frame which is DCWV.
I had so much fun making this little beach scene and thought this would be a novel way to use the tags!
Please make sure you pop over to BBTB2 to see the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT and also see some of the other fabulous images from Peggy Loves Vintage.
Thanks for looking and have a great week!

LEAF PENDANT AND MATCHING GIFT BOX BBTB2

Good evening
Hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday Monday I've been working so just like any other day to me!
Over at BBTB2 Heather has decided that the first Monday of each month will be readers choice for a cut so if you have anything you would like to work with just let us know either by leaving a message on BBTB2  blog or emailing Heather.
The readers choice for May is from Life Is A Beach and the cut is Leaf 1.
I decided to try something different well for me anyway! I've been hoarding some Shrink plastic/shrinkies which I bought a while back and have not used (sound familiar lol!) So I cut the leaf using my cricut and a sheet of black shrink on multicut 4 at 4 1/2"and it cut through beautifully, I did this through design studio as I wanted to use the hide contour feature for the line through the leaf centre. I cut off the stem and punched a hole through the top before shrinking the leaf with my heat gun. I added a large silver jump ring and some lime green gems down the centre of the leaf then threaded on to some lime green ribbon. (Ribbon and shrink plastic are from Hobbycraft). I then made a little gift box to match the pendant . This little box is so easy to make just a half a piece of A4 card (8 1/2x11") cut in half lengthways then fold in half lengthways again. score from each centre edge to the centre point of the 2 top edges fold your scorelines and you end up with this cute little triangular box ! Punch 4 holes and thread through ribbon for closure. For the paper I used Pink Petticoat . I cut 3 of the leaves .2 in black and one in green at 2 1/2" and added gems to them. I added matching green ribbon and some black tuille to finish off. The gems and ribbon match perfectly IRL although the colours look different in the photo!
Pop over to BBTB2 and see the gorgeous creations the rest of the DT have made this week and we'd love you to play along with the challenge too!
thanks for looking!

MAY CHALLENGE AT LILY-BOOTOO. SHAPED CARDS! IN 'THE DOGHOUSE'!

Good evening
There's a new challenge up for May over at Lily-Bootoo and this month Lucy asked us to make a shaped card. I couldn't resist the 'hang dog' look on this adorable digi image from one of the new sets drawn by the very talented Sam. He comes in a set of cute doggie images for just £1.99.
I love making shaped cards so I got out my trusty Cricut and made this card using Design studio to make the shaped Kennel with the following carts
Kennel                 Paper Pups Cart
Bone                    Mickey and Friends
The word Dog      Cutting Up
The word House   Plantin School
I'm not much of a colourer but this image only required colouring the black patches with a black promarker and I added glossy accents to make his nose all shiny!
The polka dot paper is Pink Petticoat and the yellow is from DCWV  Citrus stack.
I think this card could be a sorry card for I missed/forgot your birthday or so many other sorry cards and I'm sure you'd be forgiven when they see the sweet little face on this little doggy and wouldn't be in 'the doghouse' for long for forgetting!
Hope you can join us in the challenge this month we'd love to see your shaped cards over at Lily-Bootoo, pop over and have a look at the super creations the rest of the team have created this month!
I am entering this card in to a few challenges too
Cupcake Craft        Don't Be Square
CRAFT                  Shaped Card
Meljens Designs      Shaped Card
Penny's Challenges
I'm off now to play mum's taxi and take my son's friends home before coming back to a nice glass of wine !
Have a great weekend everyone!

CUTTLEBUGSPOT FAVOURITE FLOWERS

Good morning
Hope everyone is having a good week.
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week we are celebrating our favourite flowers! My favourite flowers are tulips but I always had a hard time with the stems wilting lol until I got a tip many years ago to put a piece of copper in the water in your vase for example a penny and I couldn't believe it it worked no more wilting stems!
Anyway for my card I used a cream card base which I have embossed with CB folder Goochie's Script this is one of the latest UK exclusives. My tulip stamp is actually a clipart purchased from Lettering Delights.com clipart set Vegetation 2. I printed it 3 times onto cream card and cut two extra tulip heads. I coloured the stem with Promarkers and pop dotted the 2 tulips and embossed the top one with CB Swiss dots and added two pale green crystal gems. This is matted on a rectangle die cut with my Nellie's die . The black and cream stripey ribbon is SU. Finally a happy birthday rubon.
My DT sisters  have created the prettiest projects this week so make sure to pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see them and if you enter the challenge this week there's a super prize of a $50 from Simon Says Stamp!!
Thanks for popping by
