SILVER AND BLACK. THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Good evening
Over at The Cuttlebugspot this week we are having a silver and black challenge! My DT sister have created the most beautiful cards and projects so I hope you will pop over and take a look!
I decided to make a shoe shaped card and little bag favour which I thought would be nice for a piece of jewellry for a gift.
I used my latest addition to my Cricut carts Forever Young. I love this card it's packed with the most gorgeous girly cuts! I welded the high heeled shoe in DS to make a card and then cut the shoe card in black then one shoe in silver mirricard and the top of the shoe in black mirricard. I cuttled the black mirricard with the CB folder Tiny mosaics. The bag is cut from the same cart (no glue required!!) and cuttled with the same folder to match. As you can see I added loads of silver gems to both the shoe card and the bag, the sentiment on the shoe is a rub on from my stash. Gosh I remember wearing high heels like this many years ago I would probably have trouble just standing up on them now lol!
There is a change in the rules for the challenges going forward . We would still love to see your take on the challenge but as long as you leave a comment you will be in with a chance to win the weekly prize which this week is a $20 voucher for Custom Crops!
Have a great week everyone!

1OTH BIRTHDAY CARD CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Good evening
I hope everyone is having a good week!
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to create something using the number 10 or word Ten. Well my imagination wasn't on top form lol so I created a simple 10th birthday card.
I used a DL card and the A2 embossing folder is from CB Birthday wishes A2 combo set. A bit of trivia for you did you know there are 14 candles on this folder! So I cut my paper down so it had 10 candles!. The black number paper is from an old DCWV paper pad. 10 is cut from Don Juan cricut cart at 2 1/2" on shadow in black and base in white then cuttled with Stripey QK folder. The striped paper across the middle is Pink Petticoat and I cut three red mirricard stars from Plantin School cart (I think they are 1") and cuttled them with Tiny Bubbles CB folder. Happy birthday is computer generated and matted on black . All pop dotted for dimension.
We do hope you can join us at the Cuttlebugspot this week we would love to see what you create and there's a fab prize for the winner Of a $20 voucher for Custom Crops!

VALENTINE PEGGY LOVES VINTAGE
Good evening
I love this cute Valentine image from Peggy Loves Vintage and just had to make a card with her!
I used a 6x6" card and the red polka dot paper is printed from Pink Petticoat Fairy Lights CD. I printed the image twice and cut out the hat, dress, shoes and heart. I embossed the heart, dress and hat with Swiss Dots CB folder and pop dotted for dimension. I made some matching blue paper to match the hat in my computer graphics programme and punched a heart border. The image is layered on this and then black. Each layer is pop dotted and I added pearls to the hearts. I added some lace which I received from my lovely blogging friend Lana last year and some pearl stick pins which I coloured black with permanent marker. Lastly I added two of the punched out hearts and xoxo which is die cut using A2 combo Love Language.
Peggy Loves Vintage has the most gorgeous vintage images so please pop over and visit her shop you will love them as much as I do!

PRINCESS PARTY FAVOUR . THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Good morning
Hope everyone is coping with this freezing weathe! Here in Wales it started to warm up a bit yesterday and the snow started melting, I'm not holding my breath though there is more snow forecast for tomorrow!
This week at the Cuttlebugspot Nilda asked us to make party favours.
This is one of the reasons I love doing these challenges I can do girly! Having a son I have spent years making boy stuff!
On to my favour, I decided to make a favour that could be used for a little girl having a Princess party. The triangular box is one I've made lots of in the past and is so easy to do just a few scores and folds and punch some holes at the top and you can make them in any size (I got the instructions ages ago from Crafters Companion)
I used my Cricut and Happily Ever After cart to cut the crown at 3" on shadow and base and the base is embossed with CB Moroccan screen folder. The crown is pop dotted for dimension. Papers used are Pink Petticoat. Princess is cut with an Ellison die and I added lots of pink gems and finished off with some pink and white netting.
Please come on over and see the wonderful favours the rest of the DT have made at the Cuttlebugspot and let's see yours too! The prize this week for the winner is a voucher for £15 from the Craftbarn!
Have a great week everyone and keep warm!

NEW YEAR 2010! CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Hiya everyone
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week we are celebrating New Year! Nilda asked us to make a New Year card/creation.
Here is my card. It's a DL card(8 1/2"x4"approx) and the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat Doodles download. I used my Cricut and Celebrations cart to cut the party hats at 4 1/4" on border in white card twice, once shift in red mirricard and cut a single hat @41/4" twice in red mirricard and shift in black. I then layered them up and cuttled with CB Swiss Dots and the checkered embossing folder from the Oh My Crafts exclusive shaped bundle. The 2010 is cut using Don Juan cart at 3/4" and 1"in black and white and then added some gems from my stash
Please pop over to the Cuttlebugspot and see the fabulous creations my DT sisters have created and we would love you to join in too!
Have a great week everyone, we have more snow forecast for this week, I know my son Connr is hoping it will snow so he doesn't have to go back to school tomomrrow!

LILY-BOOTOO JANUARY CHALLENGE VALENTINE
Good morning
First I want to wish everyone A Happy and Healthy New Year and hope you all had a fabulous Christmas. I haven't been around as I caught yet another bad bug about 2 weeks before Christmas which wiped me out! I seem to have caught every bug going last year so I'm ready for a healthy New Year this year!!
Anyway over at Lily-Bootoo this month the theme for the challenge is Valentine. I decided to use a beautiful free image that Sam drew last year. I love this image and you can still download it free from Lily-boos and Sam has very kindly put another free image up on the site with a Valentine theme too!
My card is DL in size and the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat Little Swirls download. I printed the heart image on to white card and also the word 'Valentine' in red, font Dali. I tore round the image and inked the edges in red then just glittered the heart with red glitter. Added lots of red gems from my stash and it was done!
We would love you to join us at Lily-bootoo this month and see your gorgeous Valentine creations you have til the end of January to enter!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and thanks for looking today!
