BBTB2 DESIGN TEAM CALL

Good evening
The girls over at BBTB2 have a design team call going on. If you have never visited and you love your Cricut as much as I do then you really must! It's my first port of call every Monday morning when they post their fabulous challenge cards.
Here are some of my favourite cards I've made using my Cricut, I thought it would be easier done in one post.
Thanks so much for taking a look

CROCHET FLOWER

Good morning
I've been learning how to crochet flowers! It's amazing what you can learn on You Tube! I found this great site that has all sorts of wonderful tutorials and ideas its called Little Birdie Secrets.
There is a little story behind this card I originally made it for this weeks Cuttlebugspot Challenge but I totally got the wrong week! I seem to be having one of those weeks, hmmm I put it down to my age lol I will be turning 50 this year!
Anyway I've been crocheting lots of these little flowers so I thought I would male this card
It's 5x7" and embossed with a CB folder from the Oh My Crafts exclusive shapes bundle folder. I cut a green 'stem' and embossed with Swiss Dots CB folder. I handcut the leaves paper is from Patty Picklicious CD and added my pink crochet flower and a dotty button . The Happy Birthday is compute generated. Lot's of white space on this card but I liked it left simple and you'll probably be seeing more of these little flowers on my cards as I can't stop making them lol!

Good morning everyone
It's a beautiful sunny Spring morning here today!
Peggy over at Peggy Loves Vintage has just announced another great contest and you could win some fabulous candy as well as some of Peggy's wonderful vintage images.
All you have to do is make a project using this cute little bunny which you can download free from the blog just click HERE!
For my card I made the bunny into a shaped card for the front. I printed him three times and did a little decoupage with him. The dotty background paper is from my stash, my greeting is computer generated and pop dotted and I added a little red flower button. Finally I added a little white pom pom for his tail which I have inked to match his furry coat. I also inked around the card and greeting.
We hope that you can join us just pop over to Peggy Loves Vintage for full details of the contest and see the fabulous projects the DT have made using this adorable bunny!

HAPPY EASTER! THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT MEETS LILY-BOO!

Good morning
Well over at the Cuttlebugspot we have a new sponsor this month and it's Lily-Boos Boutique who have the most gorgeous digital image stamps. Of course I am biased because I am lucky enough to be on both these wonderful design teams!
For my card I decided to use the adorable bunny from The Easter Collection. I printed the image out twice once on plain white card and once on green patterned paper and paper pieced the top of the tree after embossing it with QK dotty embossing folder. The rest of the image I coloured with Promarkers and the sky is chalked. The image is then layered on to pink and lemon pearlescent card and the backing paper is printed from Pink Petticoat Little big dots download. The sun is cut using the smallest die from my Nellie's circle die cuts with lemon pearlecent card and embosssed with the same QK folder. I cut a little white picket fence with another die and punched out some little pearlescent eggs. The eggs have been embossed with CB folders build a snowman and the tiny tiny dots of the CB 3x3 buttlerfly set, these tiny embossings really lend themselves to smaller die cuts. Finally I added some tiny pearlecent butterflies punched with MS butterflies punch and added a matted computer generated greeting font Curlz MT
This week all you need to do is leave a comment over at the Cuttlebugspot to be in with the chance of winning some fabulous Lily-Boo downloads!
Also Lily-Boo is looking for new Design Team members so if you fancy joining us and working with these gorgeous images pop over to Lily-Boos for more details!

WELCOME LITTLE ONE

Good evening
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make something vintage.
I found a gorgeous vintage baby image which is from Peggy loves Vintage New Babies vol 1 and just had to use it!
For my card I used DCWV paper from the Luxury stack then cut an oval in cream with my Nellies Diecutter (they're a bit like nesties but made by a Dutch designer) and cuttled with CB folder Swiss Dots. I tied a cream satin bow behind the oval and computer generated the sentiment using font LD elegance and added two ribbon roses in cream. I printed the baby in a rose image on glossy photopaper 4 times and cut and layered it using pop dots for dimension.
I then decided to have a go at making a pair of little baby shoes and found a free SVG file at Laura's blog The Alliance Trader. Thank you Laura the file cut like a dream on my Cricut! I used SCAL to cut the 2 little shoes in pink pearlescent card and cuttled again with Swiss Dots CB folder. I added a cream ribbon rose to each for the shoe 'buckle' and flat back pearls around the bottom of the shoes. I'm really pleased with how these turned out and will certainly be doing more in the future!
I hope you'll visit The Cuttlebugspot and see the wonderful designs the Design team have created this week and if you leave a comment you could win a £15.00 voucher for the Craftbarn online store and if you would like to join in and make a Vintage creation you could win some fabulous jammies (covers)for your Cricut and Cuttlebug handmade and so kindly donated this week by our very own Lillie on the DT!
Hope to see you there!

MOTHER'S DAY

Good afternoon
It's a glorious sunny Sunday here in Wales today, still very cold and fresh but gorgeous weather!
My card today is for Lily Boo too challenge which this month is Mother's Day and I am also entering it into the Just Buggin challenge which is use a card feature from your Cricut Cart.
I printed the polka dots from Pink Petticoat mini big dots download directly on to white card and the card feature is the doily card from Wild Card Cricut cart cut @ 5". The gorgeous digi image is from Lily-Boos Boutique circles collection which is coloured using pale yellow Promarker and has a few silver gems also coloured yellow with the Promarker to match. This has been pop dotted onto a lemon circle mat cut with my circle nesties and then pop dotted on to the centre of the card. I computer generated the Happy Mothers Day font LD Fancy Folk. Finally I coloured some White organza again with my yellow Promarker and tied a triple bow using it with some Black and white polka dot ribbon too!
Don't forget there is a DT call out over at Lily-Boos click on the link to go to the blog for more details!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

ST PATRICK'S DAY!

Good morning
Well look at me posting a St Patrick's Day card on St David's Day!! Happy St Davids Day to all my Welsh blogging friends!
This week over at the Cuttlebugspot Nilda asked us to feature the colour green in our projects to celebrate the Irish. My DT sisters have rocked this challenge with such wonderful creations so be sure to pop over and leave a comment, just for leaving a comment you could win a $20 gift certificate for Custom Crops this week!
I've never made a St Patty's Day card before so my card is a bit predictable lol! I made a Shamrockcard!
I used my Designer Calender Cricut cartridge and DS to make a shaped card by welding 2 shadow shamrocks together and cut another shadow to layer on the front. I cut two shamrocks on base using Pink Petticoat polka dot papers, one for the inside and one for the top of my card which I embossed with CB Spots and Dots folder. I tied 2 ribbons in a bow some black plaid and some green satin and added to the stalk. Then disaster struck my printer ran out of ink lol (made an emergency order last night!) so I couldn't do a computer generated sentiment! My wonderful cricut came to the rescue and I cut a Sentimement using Designer's Calender and even at 1" my Cricut did a great job!( Finally I doodled some rather wobbly faux stitching around the edge now I know why I don't do this often lol! need loads more practise!! and added a little heart gem on the i of the sentiment.
This card also fits well into the challenge over at Just Buggin this week which is to emboss your die cut!
Have a great week everyone
