'AUTUMN' CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Good evening
Well I've finally given in and put the central heating on tonight it's getting chilly I think we're getting into Autumn now!
Over at the Cuttlebugspot this week Nilda asked us to make a card/project which featured an Autumn/Fall feel. Well I've never made an Autumn card before so this was a challenge in itself!
All the papers are from a huge pack of papers from CostCo (which I received as a Christmas pressie last Christmas!) and I thought were just the right colours. I used a 6x6" card and covered with the papers and separated with a panel across the middle of gold mirricard matted with some more of the paper which I cuttled with CB folder Victoria. I then cut the leaves using my Cricut and Mickey and Friends cart. The ,
leaves are icon cut on Chip. I cut on border feature @2 1/2 in shift and base and a couple of extra leaves, pop dotted and swirled some gold wire ribbon in and out. The gold glitter letters are Making Memories.
We would love you to join in with us this week and there's a prize for the winner so please check us out and have a look at the beautiful projects the rest of the DT came up with!
Have a lovely week!

WAKE UP CAT!! IT'S TIME TO GET HAUNTING!
Good afternoon
hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
I made this card using another of the images from the fab Halloween collection download from Lily-Boos Boutique. When I saw this image I could imagine the cat falling asleep and being late to go a haunting with the witchy woo on her broom! So this is what I came up with, the witch flying past the window shouting at the cat to wake up!
The card is A4 folded in half and the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat Halloween collection CD. The window frame is a cut from cricut Christmas Solutions cart and the witch is from A Child's Year cart. I adhered some acetate behind the window and 'stained glassed' the top panes using peel offs and permanent markers. The blind is paper from an old DCWV paper pad and I used Fiskars Apron lace punch. The image is coloured with Promarkers and the little Pumpkin is from Hobbycraft. Lots of pop dotting and sentiment is computer generated.
Hope this card makes you smile I had fun making it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLIE
Good evening
Mollie the sister of my son's best friend Jack turned 12 today so I made this card for her.
Not wanting to waste the gorgeous flocked paper left over from my last card this card is made from leftovers!
You know how I love to do the name cards they are quick and easy and I needed quick today lol!
The card is a DL size and the letters for Mollie are cut with my favourite font cricut cart Don Juan @ 2 1/2" in shadow and base. I added a Happy Birthday rub on verically on the M and some black flower sequins and black gems to finish.
I'm so glad it's Friday! Have a great weekend everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 'MISS P'!
Hi all
My mother in law asked me to make a card for her eldest granddaughter Hannah. Hannah and her grandad have always had a name for each other, he calls her Miss P (Miss Perfect) and she calls him Mr P
The card was to be pink and girly with bling,
This is what I made
6x6" card base covered from my new fav paper which is MAMBI Speciality cardstock stack Baby Girl (there are some baby papers but lots of them can be used for general use) houndstooth pink and white and it's flocked. I love it!. I made the Miss P in design Studio using Hello Kitty Font Cart for Miss and the P is from Storybook cart welded, shadow cut in black and base cut again from the Mambi paperstack in fine pink and white stripe pop dotted. The sentiment is computer generated font Antsypants (which is identical to HK font!) in pink and popdot matted on black. Finally lots of Prima say it in crystals. Inside I typed a Happy Birthay greeting and a line saying 'From one P to another!'
Thanks for looking!

WELCOME BABY GIRL CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Good morning
Well another week I don't know where this year is going!
This week over at the Cuttlebug spot we are celebrating our 1 year anniversary!! To celebrate there is a prize on offer every day this week!!!! So be sure to visit daily as Nilda will be posting daily and the rules will be different each day as to what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning!
This week Nilda asked us to revisit the very first challenge set at the Cuttlebugspot which was to ink your Cuttlebug folders. I wasn't on the DT then so this was my first go at inking the folders but I love the effect and will definitely be using this technique again!
My card is a very simple one this week as my mojo has gone off to hide somewhere! I hope it comes back soon!
I used a 5x5 pink pearlescent card and cut 3 square mats 3", 2 3/4" and 2 1/2" in white and pink pearlescent card which I embossed with QK folder Stripes label. the little duckling is from New Arrivals Cricut Cart and cut at 2 1/2" on shadow and base in white pearlescent card. The base layer is then embossed with CB folder Spots and Dots which I inked up with a Brilliance pearlescent pink ink. The sentiment is cut in white fun foam which I love as it looks like miniature Thickers using the cutting pad from the CB A2 Welcome Baby set. A couple of crystals for the Eye and iand some organza ribbon.
Be sure to visit the Cuttlebugspot as my DT sisters have made some fabulous cards using this technique and be sure to enter our daily competition this week too!
Have a great week everyone!

HUBBLE BUBBLE , TOIL AND TROUBLE!
Good evening
Here is a card I made today using another printable stamped image from the Halloween collection available at Lily-Boos Boutique. They are so versatile and you can print in any size.
I printed the image directly onto a 6x6" card and computer generated the Hubble Bubble sentiment coming out of the cauldron. The cute little witch image is coloured with Promarkers and chalks. I added some black and purple ric rac from my stash and some matching Petaloo flowers. I cut another hat and frog and pop dotted them, oh and I hand drew a spiders web (not very well lol!) as I thought the top corner looked a bit bare!

GOODIES FOR SANTA! CONFETTI PROJECT CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Click on the pictures to get a better view of the new CB embossing folders
Good Morning
Well it's back to work for me today! Mind you i didn't get any crafting done on my week off as settling Connor back in school and it's been a bit stressful I can tell you!
I did manage to get my DT project done for the Cuttlbugspot though!
Aymee on the DT set the challenge this week and Nilda asked us to use embossed confetti in our projects. That is to emboss some paper/card using a Cb folder cut into strips and use as confetti within a project.
Well I really had to put my thinking cap on for this!! and this is what I made.
I used the popcorn box cut from Tags Bags cricut cart and in design studio gave the box 3 oval windows which i put acetate behind and embossed the acetate with one of the new UK exclusive CB folders snowflakes. I cut 3 sizzlet snowflakes to put in the centre of the windows and some little cuttlebug snowflakes in gold and some red gems. I made a matching little sleeve to hold Santa's milk. The tags are computer generated font is LD Saloon in red on white card cuttled again with the snowflakes folder then matted onto green card. I cuttled some red and green patterned card with another of the Uk exclusive folders this one is called Ice Crystal. Before cuttling it I computer generated some messages for Santa in red and green (font LDJ Miss me) then cut in strips and concertina'd to go on top of the choc chip cookies for Santa! All the card used is from DCWV Christmass glitter stack. Just made a couple of bows and added to the tags.
After photographing these I drank the milk and me and Connor shared the cookies Yum yum!
I wish Connor was still little he would have loved leaving these little messages for Santa on Christmas Eve with his milk and cookies!
I hope you will join us at the Cuttlebugspot this week and don't forget to check out the DT's creations they are fab! There's a great prize for the winner too!
Have a great week everyone!

BIRDCAGE CARD THE CUTTLEBUGSPOT
Good morning
Hope you are all well. I'm on a week's holiday from work this week yipee!
This week over at the Cuttlebugspot Nilda asked us to do a project which included a bird in it.
I've always wanted to try a sliceform card and found this fab SVG file of a sliceform birdcage for sale at Paperthreads.com designed by Jennibeancrafts a wonderfully talented designer!
For those that are not familiar with an SVG file it's a file can be cut with your Cricut and SCAL (Sure Cutsalot) software.
I cut it in white cardstock and there was even a step by step video on you tube on how to put it together! I cut the central panel twice more in gold mirricard and just used the 2 gold birds to go on the front and back of the original bird cut in white. The gold birds have been cuttled with Swiss Dots CB folder. I also cuttled some of the cage with the bark effect CB folder, tied some gold ribbon to the top and some little pearls on the cage door. I will be adding a tag so this can be used as a greeting card as it amazingly folds flat to go in an envelope (see last photo)!
Please come over and play at the Cuttlebugspot this week, there is a wonderful wonderful prize for the winner which has been so generously given by my DT sister Margie, of a Home Decor Cricut Cartridge!!!!
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week everyone and to my US blogging friends have a great Labor Day!

IT''S HALLOWEEN AT LILY-BOOS BOUTIQUE!!!! Now with.cut file and folding instructions for box card
Good morning
Lou and Sam at Lily-Boos Boutique have just released a fab Halloween collection!
I made a box card using these cute little Trick or Treat children.
I made the box card using DS and Plantin School and broke open my Paper Doll cricut cart for the first time to cut the castle, tree, ghosties and fence ( I've only had it nearly a year!) I cuttled the fence and tree with the bark effec CB folder and the haunted castle with the CB mosaic folder. The sky is just some white card with saome black chalk dabbed on it and I cut a 3" moon with a circle punch and used some bat confetti I bought at Hobbycraft. The children are coloured with promarkers and the paper for the frame on the front are from Polkadoodles Halloween download.
Ooh forgot to say this card WILL fold flat for posting!
This card was so hard to photograph and looks so much more 3D in real life! I think I will be using this box card for some more cards in the future and learn from my mistakes too I would extend the backing paper around the inside sides too!
So I hope everyone will pop over to Lily-Boos as this is just one image you get in this fab Halloweeen collection you get 6 for just £1.99 and yes they are all as cute as this one and so so easy and versatile to use!
Thanks for looking and have a lovely weekend.
I have had some requests for instructions for the box card. I made it with Cricut design studio and Plantin School cartridge. You will need Cricut Expression and a 24"x12" mat as the box card when completed measures 8"x6" and 3" deep.
When you have cut out the 1st page of the file you need to score the card as follows going from the end where the frame is nearest score at 3" then 11" (this is as far as my scorepal would go so move your card over and butt up to the side of your scorepal and score at 8" and then at 11" this should leave about a 1/2 " to adhere your box together. If you do not have scorepal you should be able to still score from these instructions. now fold your scorelines and you will have a box shape minus the top and bottom
Take your 4 strips/tabs and score them at 1/2" at each end and fold
Decorate the inside back of your box with backing paper and For my next card I will be decorating the sides too! (learnt by my mistakes lol) Decorate inside before gluing box together.
Once you have decorated your box inside adhere together using the end !/2 inch.
Next take yor strips/tabs and add whatever decor you like (i have left the paper doll cuts in the file on a separate page as they are sized appropriately but you can use whatever you wish. You can lay the strips on top of one another to guage where to position your shapes. Once done adhere them to the strips then adhere your strps inside the bottom of the box at either side . a good tip here is to turn your box upside down as it's easier to position and glue in your decorated strips that way.
I have included a frame for the front of the box if you would like to decorate with different paper. On the last page of my file I have duplicated the strips/tags this was just for my use and you do not need to cut them twice!
I hope you can understand my instructions I do babble on lol but if anyone having a go doesn't then just leave a message on this post and your email and I will get back to you.
As I mentioned in my post this card will fo;d flat to fit in an envelope. It is large though I would put in an A4 envelope or maybe design one in DS. If I get round to doing one I will post it here.
I'm so glad you liked this card it was great fun to make and I will definitely use it again!
Thanks :)
